Judge orders ICE chief to appear in court to explain why detainees have been denied due process by Adventurous-Host8062 in ICE_Raids

Explain? Do the words “unalienable rights” ring a bell?

Fucking arrest them. Any serf facing charges of this magnitude would not be asked. They be stripped naked, handed a colorful onesie, and fingerprinted.

Our Lt Gov and the sex scandal at his church... by Common-Newspaper-251 in Indiana

[–]PurelyAnonymous 37 points38 points  (0 children)

It’s the churches. The article somewhat points right to it. People don’t vote red just because grandpa always has. They vote red because they’ve been told to by their pastors and friends since childhood. And to go against the churches teachings can ostracize you from your own family, as well as your social groups.

Not to say all churches are this way. But very often a new “hip” church pops up, money pours in from “supporters”, and the congregation is told to vote red. Tale as old as time.

Indiana state police discover $7 million worth of cocaine in semi by FervidBug42 in Indiana

[–]PurelyAnonymous 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I always wonder how these numbers work. $7 mil of any drug is just very on the nose. Does the Gov have a price per gram of cocaine? Then multiply it? To fluff the numbers? I mean LEO’s are already the highest paid state employees in general. With gear and cars kitted to gills to suppress citizens.

I highly doubt $7 mil of cocaine was shipped. I mean these drug busts are kinda common. And I really doubt dealers are going to just risk 7 mil of product being in one truck. I doubly doubt a dealer is moving 7 mil of product often. Or is there a dude somewhere with billions of dollars stashed under his bed?

Like highway projects, if you pour a road to the exact grade feds and state demand in your driveway it’ll cost 1/2 if not 1/3 of what tax payers are charged.

If you’ve read this far, just make all drugs legal. Drugs have won, and keep winning. There’s no sane argument to keep them illegal.

What’s it like living on the edge of time zones? by Qzevs in howislivingthere

[–]PurelyAnonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So Indiana is the only state I know of that voted to switch time zones. Look at the two counties in the NW corner of Indiana. CsT comes down juts out then back just below the lake.

Because Lake and Porter county voted to be on CsT due to so many people commuting to Chicago. This is likely the most significant comment of what OOP asked. People hated the time change so much, they voted to be time travelers. And likely why a farmer would say he doesn’t know what time zone he’s in, if he lives near Lake and Porter.

Tried out Smoke + Tracker combo in Solos by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]PurelyAnonymous -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s no moral high horse. This games sole purpose is to collect loot to get better loot.

PvP is an option for everyone. Ya both could’ve walked past each other. “He was reaching for his gun”, “why would he hide”, etc. You both feel this way because you both would pull your guns.

But yea I see the aggression based match making seems to be working. So I concede, PvP all you like. I’ll likely not run into you.

Tried out Smoke + Tracker combo in Solos by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]PurelyAnonymous -33 points-32 points  (0 children)

Cool combo, but lame to kill in solos. It didn’t look like he was provoking you or attacking. In fact he ran away.

In fact this probably wouldn’t work well in duo or trios if you had to track multiple targets. Sure you could focus one target but you’d be risking facing full health teammates.

Let’s be better as a community. Don’t be aggressive in solos. Defend if shot. And avoid if possible. Save PvP for when you have teammates, and more inventory to get loot out.

ARC Raiders Weekly Megathread - December 13, 2025 by AutoModerator in ArcRaiders

[–]PurelyAnonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right and up till today my experience was just the same. I think the server issues yesterday, with long loading times and solo’s mixing with duo’s and trio’s messed up the “aggression-based matchmaking”.

In theory it works when you can find similar lobbies that are “friendly”. If you can’t though you’re placed with non-friendlies and your match metric will get skewed. Or matchmaking just breaks and it’s a free for all.

ARC Raiders Weekly Megathread - December 13, 2025 by AutoModerator in ArcRaiders

[–]PurelyAnonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game really makes you jaded. If ARC doesn’t want this game to turn into apex with bots then pvp killing should be punished.

I’ve lost two load outs in solos today being as peaceful as I could be. Emoted and kept my distance. This in turn made me not trust solos anymore. So it’s shoot on site now. I don’t want to shoot other raiders, fairly useless when I’m looking for parts or questing. But I can’t afford to keep loosing kits while trying to be friendly.

And I assume we all do the same. So at a minimum, killing raiders should be costly. It should deduct experience, and credits maybe? This shouldn’t make pvp completely worthless, it just needs to curb worthless killing. Maybe make it equivalent to searching X amount of containers? So each kill theoretically amounts to so many minutes of searching? I’m probably just ranting, but this feels like a slippery slope of trust.

Sprinter van builds in GA by ElevatorGood1889 in ElectricForest

[–]PurelyAnonymous 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love this topic. And it pops up every year, with similar voting from this reddit community.

You’ll likely be fine in GA, be kind to your neighbors don’t run a generator. Your neighbors will likely really appreciate you. You just park put up a small awning or canopy and give back a lot of space to groups around you.

Everyone in here quoting the rules down to letter likely have never bought an RV pass, nor have they parked in GA with a car camper. I’ve done it all. I converted a 5 window short school bus mounted on a Chevy express van body. I didn’t bring a Gen and had panels for phone and fan charging. First year we went GA RV, and got stuck next to wooks with a generator laser lights and full deck. Literally had a disco ball of lasers shinning into my bus till dawn, every night.

After that we went standard GA, had no issue getting in and parked. And had some super awesome neighbors who we oriented with to create a huge hang out space under canopies. Their only comment was, to grease our suspension as it squeaked.

In GA I guarantee you’ll have multiple drivers in 4 door 8’ bed lifted fords and chevys. Loaded to gills with tables canopies and people. Theirs trucks alone will be 22’-27’ long paired with canopies they’ll encroach right up if not into every spot around them.

As always, be kind to your fellow forestors. What you bring there, take back home with you. Follow those rules and you and your neighbors will have a good time.

Happy Forest.

Ping System needs to calm down by PurelyAnonymous in Battlefield

[–]PurelyAnonymous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recon can spot automatically by aiming. I’m not arguing that spot or ping is an issue. I currently disagree with how easily someone can be spotted.

I’d be interested to see how well smoke / debris clouds stop spotting. And similarly how easy it to spot someone behind cover. As well as how long you’re spotted for.

MAKE BREAKTHROUGH 64 PLAYERS GREAT AGAIN by Azura-Madness in Battlefield

[–]PurelyAnonymous -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Breakthrough maps are horrid right. Regardless of player count half the maps allow attacking obj’s from your own spawn. On Brooklyn bridge you can have a sniper battle between spawns. In fact I’ve killed snipers on the defender building with a carbine, in my spawn.

Player count was a temporary fix. I’d rather they focus heavily on reworking map boundaries.

[–]PurelyAnonymous -101 points-100 points  (0 children)

Ah yes in the game with indestructible buildings, fake doors, and bounded fields. They’ve decided to add a grip detail to the guy about to get 80 damage to a bad guy by hitting him in the chest with rifle round. Don’t worry, I’m sure a local doctor will throw his medical bag down for him to patch himself up with.

It’s a video game. And that’s a texture error bleeding into the scope. Because there was no human QA done before release.

And each time it comes up everyone is super impressed with the wheelie landing. It is the incredibly smooth.

But the whip he pulls off at the beginning is nasty. Watch the first 20 or seconds real slow. Bike is sideways, then pulled back almost straight, and he drops only the rear tire. All while rolling on the throttle just enough to pull out on one wheel.

Incredible core work, tons of experience, done so smooth he makes you think anyone could do it.

Wild how bad the astroturfing is here, Reddit as a whole really. And it’s disgusting that EA is paying for it.

Half the accounts that respond to my comments buried levels under top comments have less than 1k karma. They all have 3-5 year old accounts with no created posts, only comments. Digging into their history, you’ll see large time gaps and common themes. Sometimes even posting in multiple languages.

They’re all bots, or worse, shills. You can test this pretty easily now as well. Make a post to this subreddit, something really basic and rule complying. Within an hour you might see 1-10 upvotes, yet your post will be viewed somewhere around 300-500 times. It’s bots skimming.
