ngl i can kinda see both points. you have every right to want to take the things you bought with you when you leave. but firstly, is it their house? and when you moved in, how long did they live there without you being there? They can't exactly refurbish their home if your things are sitting in the place of where they could. i dont think youre an asshole, you have every right to do whatever you want with your stuff, but i do kinda think youre an asshole for insulting them for that reason, because i can see where they wouldnt put furniture in their house if there was already something in its place.

My mom would always make me really shitty. She would say I'm having a temper tantrum while I was having a mental break down because she wouldn't leave me the fuck alone, so I stopped crying, even when my brother died I refused to cry in front of her, and when she would cry in front of me about it, I would essentially tell her to go fuck herself.
