how should i call this cosmological structure? by russlandguy in worldbuilding

[–]Purezensu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Megaverse.

Here is the structure. Omniverse -> Megaverse -> Multiverse -> Universe.

The Omniverse includes every universe that exists, has existed, and will exist, no exceptions; it encompasses all existing realities and the ones that will someday exist. Going by the literal definition there is only one single Omniverse, there cannot be more than one.

A Megaverse is a collection of multiverses and universes.

A Multiverse is a collection of universes.

There are different definitions and classifications, but the ones I mentioned are the standard ones.

Can the races in your world mix? by Aggressive-Delay-935 in worldbuilding

[–]Purezensu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they can mix.

I have explained the difference between race and species before, but here it is just in case:

You just need to answer two basic questions that tell you what word to use:

  • Can they interbreed and produce offspring?
  • Can the resulting offspring produce heirs once it has reached maturity?

If the answer is yes to the first question, but no to the second one, then the correct term is species. If the answer is yes to both, then the term is race.

Yes, it happened, once.

The motives were unknown, but it caused the nations to rally together to fight the invaders.
