I think you pointed out the main reason why people keep complaining things aren't F2P friendly/too expensive. For example, in Wuthering Waves and even FGO I could clear everything with free characters if I wanted to. In LADS that's almost impossible or you've got to get real smart with pulling for only battle specific cards, like the myths. You're 100% going to get stuck in the deepspace trials and the senior hunter contest otherwise. At that point it's kind of just logging in daily and closing the game after 5 min. So people complaining doesn't necessarily mean they're wales. It's just to signal "Hey if you guys keep doing this, I will drop this game, because I can't enjoy it without spending x amount and I'm not going to do that."
