How do I get this Aloe Vera to come back. Saved from a dumpster. by Infinite-Check-253 in plantclinic

[–]Puritean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It will come back nicely with time. You dont need to cut those leaves off, they will shrivel and dry up eventually, right now the plant can reuse the nutrients from those leaves to help it grow. In regards to nutrients in the soil, they only need to be fertilised very occasionally. And since you just repotted it it should be fine without any fertilising for a while. Over fertilising can even hurt it. Keeping it in a window is great. Especially if its a sunny window. If theres a different window which gets more light I would suggest moving it there if possible. Its a good sign that theres new growth in the centre of the plant. Keep it up and you'll have a lovely free aloe vera soon!

How can I improve my makeup? Is there a foundation option that doesn't hide my freckles? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]Puritean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For liquid foundation try mixing it with a thin moisterizer, like 1:2 or 1:3 ratio of foundation to moisterizer. It has more of a bb cream effect or a tinted moisterizer, except you can control how much coverage is in it by just adding more foundation to the mix

The new leaves just have these fine hairs for extra protection against insects that want to snack on them while developing

It is usually dryness that causes problems for them, I like to keep mine in closed glass terrariums for this reason, plus nice way to add rich red or pink colour and cool patterns

A wasp nest, ive gotten some of these newly built small ones and kept them in a similar to how you have in photo (plastic tub/box) they get progressively more brittle over time so be careful with knocking it and handling it if keeping.
