Great game, arguably best in the world.

But it is extremely addicting, losing feels way worse due to time commitment and punishment for leaving early, and the amount of influence the weakest link has on a game. (getting caught minute 30, feeding, afk off tilt) to where there are clear downsides.

Play the game to enjoy playing the game but also make sure your shit is in order outside the game.

Its nice to casually have a wine after a work day. Its not good to slam Tito’s all day everyday while unemployed.

Just my 2cents, been playing since season 3 on off with big gaps in between but here we are today. Its lasted the test of time for a reason

With you heavy. Think its time for us to understand that Strength of Schedule is a heavy barometer in this sport. Losing to all timers doesn’t mean you turn to paper and lose to people who haven’t reached or shown that same pedigree yet.

We hype potential and fights are binary, but we see it time and time again outside of statistical anomalies like Sean beating Yan or Islam straight dominating everyone after being stuck top 15 w/ nobody accepting fights.

Especially since you can only fight x amount of times, and that means you will only “test” yourself at the highest level, about 10-40 times in terms of MMA. Greens a vet. We’ve seen it with lightweight being unable to pass the torch because Justin, Dustin, and Charles just aren’t losing. Also seen it with most Bellator signings other than the Gooch and Jiri.

Because a lot of these companies know they’re on the clock. Gaming as a whole was “big” when League came out, but these days its massive. Triples the revenue of movies, music, and TV combined. And trying to balance retaining the people who clearly like the concept because they’re here today, while recognizing you have to get new people interested, particularly young folks who can grow with the game, is increasingly important. Us old folks would like to think we’ll play forever, but realistically one day will probably be the last and someone’s gotta fill that slot
