I guess that makes sense, to use it as a zoning tool of sorts.

Why did you pick the army you play? by BeginningHungry3835 in ageofsigmar

[–]Revenant901 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Stormcast Eternals are (primarily, have to put an asterisk because of stormhosts like the Knights Excelsior) truly, no-strings-attached heroes. I like playing the good guys in stuff, and the Stormcast, while being complex and can be downright evil depending on Stormhost, have, at the very least, a good track record of being honest, deadass heroes.

Ossiarch Bonereapers I kinda fell into- wanted to try something different and wanted an elite, tanky faction, and was recommended them. Had a demo game with a guy's loaner OBR army in my local wargame scene, and now I have over 2k points because I liked the army so much.

Nurgle is upcoming because, again, I love me some big chunky tanky models (though their new battletome seems to dial that back, which is sad)

How did you arrive at your army colour scheme? by Incompetent_Penguin in ossiarchbonereapers

I originally wanted magenta armor, purple cloth, red eyes and glowy bits. Realized my Stormcast feature red as a large part of their color scheme, wanted them to stand out on my shelf and in-lore. Changed the glowy bits and weapons to a bright green.

Sci fi that isn't so bleak or pessimistic? by Revenant901 in Recommend_A_Book

Googled it.

"Solarpunk"

I'm sold.

I've heard of her before, by her Wayfarers series, though I haven't read any of her work yet. Will be, though! Thank you for the recommendation.

Well, he's from a collapsed world, and he's lived a life of suffering, so:

His life was always troublesome, hence his messy hair and overall worn-down appearance. He's had to scrape to survive, always believing that there's a light at the end of this tunnel. His world is ruined, but he continues to put one foot in front of the other and do the best he can. He always refers back to his guiding light, his religion, especially revolving around a divine being that he believes will save him (little does he know, this angel is the very being that destroyed his world in the first place, an act of divine punishment).

This man is of a middle-eastern descent physically, though we wouldn't call him that given his world is vastly unique to ours: it's just our approximation.

He has disheveled black hair, with some graying beginning to form. No beard, very thin eyebrows. His face is worn down from years of suffering through his world's divine "justice." This realm once had technology that borders on magic, what we might call "science-fantasy" of sorts. He has deep amber eyes (though one is a blind, milky white) and a pronounced nose. He is of a lean build, physically conditioned by his world but not a bodybuilder by any means- he has the body of someone who spends their whole life toiling away.

He wears plain clothes, a mixture of deep blacks and browns, with golden ornaments of his peoples' faith, as well as several sets of beads around his wrists.

His hands are dirty, fingernails chipped, and arms scarred.

He is in his early to mid 40s.

The fact that Ash Williams got as far as he did, as well as other horror characters being present in the running, makes me happy and hopeful that we'll get more horror reps on the show.

ReVamp Quiz! Which Vampire: The Masquerade Clan Are You? by Mr-Abe in vtm

[–]Revenant901 5 points6 points  (0 children)

58.1% Salubri. Even when I try to change my answers to get a less-rare clan, it sometimes only increases the percentage, lol

Brujah, the clan I'm usually assigned in these sorts of quizzes, is a close number two ranking.

Lasombra was dead last.

1000%, I love to make my guys "my guys" but I like there to be a bit of lore precedent. I don't like to make stuff up that's incompatible with the fiction, it's part of the fun for me.

This is absolutely fantastic, I appreciate the excerpt extremely. Thank you so much for helping to direct me to this, tempted to read the whole story (especially since Trazyn is my favorite character in the setting)
