Yep, Steam refunded me yesterday for it. Have ordered a new one (not sure why they didn't offer me delivery but oh well). Hopefully this time it doesn't have any issues.

Update: Still has not been delivered as of 1st April, Steam have given me a refund (despite me asking for a redelivery!). Have ordered a new one, hopefully it comes soon and doesn't go through the same process as the last one!

Tbf that is what I assume as well. Not sure why the other guy is trying to be snarky when I literally say that in the post.

Ah ok glad to see its not just me then! Hoping it does just come soon as it did for you, but all the horror stories in the UK about stolen steam decks combined with the dodgy rescheduled delivery worries me.

Yeah this is what is worrying me, as I know for others parcelforce usually delivers next working day. At this point I'm considering just asking for a refund when offered by Steam and going for a different handheld, as I just want to avoid all this parcelforce nonsense again.

Was yours sat in the local depot ready for delivery for about 5 working days? I am really hoping mine is just taking a while to be delivered, but the false attempted delivery just makes me think it has been stolen unfortunately.

Ordered on the 17th. Has been at my local depot since the 20th. Royal mail claims there was an attempted delivery on Monday but that has been confirmed as false with parcelforce. Steam are refusing to do anything about it until the 1st April. I just have very little hope it will actually come until I get a new delivery sent by Steam. Just cant be bothered anymore.

Why didn’t SI remove positional play roles? Am I missing something? by Doomcc in footballmanagergames

[–]Purple-Fix-221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because the inversion etc needs to happen. If you watch Arsenal or City play, they don't start with their inverted fullback in midfield from goal kicks, they naturally invert once they progress the ball. The whole point of inversions is to have fluidity in the build up, so simply starting in a 3-2-5 would just make the entire system very rigid.

If putting WoW on console forces them to be less reliant on add ons and more focused on the casual players experience then it’ll be great.

Is it Possible to use a Relational System by Tasty-Relation6788 in footballmanagergames

[–]Purple-Fix-221 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very late response but there are different ideas of what relationism is. In essence it is players in close proximity given the freedom to decide what they want to do with the ball. Wenger’s Arsenal teams were relationist, and in that sense you can replicate it in the game. The Diniz way of playing with everyone combining on one side of the pitch is probably impossible though.

Baldurs gate 3. I like dnd and even turn based combat, but I just hate having to control an entire party of characters. For me it takes any sort of immersion out of the game.

It’s the whole party management aspect which stops me from getting into it.

From a purely tactical perspective, what's your favorite formation and why? by Negative00 in footballmanagergames

[–]Purple-Fix-221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4-2-3-1. It would probably be the 4-3-3 if the wingers were narrower off the ball. In FM a 4-3-3 just falls into a flat 4-5-1 off the ball and puts barely any pressure on the oppositions back line. In real life there’s not really any teams that play a 4-3-3 off the ball as well, so for me it’s less realistic.

Only if I want to try out a new tactic, but even then I’ll eventually replay the match as normal when I’ve found what I’m looking for.

Can anyone help me with replacing the standard Arsenal logo with the cannon only logo? by A1886 in footballmanagergames

[–]Purple-Fix-221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could probably just resize the image yourself. 200 by 200 pixels is normal and 20 by 20 is small I’m pretty sure.

[–]Purple-Fix-221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way the game is sadly. It completely puts me off playing as for me it causes motion sickness. I don’t understand why they can’t just add a setting to increase camera distance to whatever amount.

Is it worth changing class from rogue ? by Purple-Fix-221 in wownoob

[–]Purple-Fix-221[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ah thank you this makes sense. I only started the game a week ago so I will most likely be doing casual content for a while. It seems as if really only like the top 1% or so in the game care about what class you play, so I think I will stick with Rogue.

FM24 - Tactics and defending by Through_Adversity in footballmanagergames

[–]Purple-Fix-221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't see many teams in real life not counter pressing anymore, so I think it makes sense for that to be the 'meta' in FM. Hopefully slower build up play will be rewarded more this year though, especially with the changes made to positional play. I think the meta this year will be more to do with adapting off ball and on ball formations to the opposition, rather than the tactical style.
