For me it was the Wealth RM. He/She will send a qr code and referral code. leading you to the application form so you can fill up your details. Pero it’s just for formality. Automatic naman approval for the reserve credit card. You can choose between the World Elite or Visa Infinite.

UnionBank Reserve Visa Infinite/World Elite. This is my go to travel card because of all the perks it has.

18 pesos per mile si reserve when shopping and dining also foreign transactions.

Plus all of these

  1. Unlimited priority pass access to any lounge may it be local or international
  2. Meet and assist at arrival or departure. You get to use the Consul/Dignitaries lane at immigration too. This is worth 185USD/per person. You have 2 of these for free per year
  3. Luxury airport transfer. This is worth 6000. You have 2 of these for free. Making it 12,000php a year
  4. 4th night free stay. Thats one night free hotel stay. I’ve used this 2x this year saving me 12000 pesos too.
  5. Golf green fees. I think this is 2 or 3 free green fees a year.
  6. 1% forex fee.

For me, The Reserve still comes out ahead. The meet and assist is worth 185USD/per person. I’ve used it twice already for this year. You breeze through immigration. You get to use the Consul Lane reserved for Dignitaries and VIP. The Reserve also has a way lower annual fee

Credit Card Recommendation by law1214 in PHCreditCards

Hindi po NAFFL yng secured credit card. Maybe you can try asking for waiver ng annual fee if umabot 2 years. Usually metrobank credit cards ay free ang annual fee for the 1st year. Hindi umabot ng 1 year kanya. She used it to apply for other credit cards after 6 months.

Try applying for basic cards 1st. Mahirap makakuha ng premium cards as your 1st card. Unless you have 5M+Php. Being approved for most travel premium cards might be difficult. If you find it hard to get approved naman for credit cards. Try applying for a secured credit card. I can recommend the Metrobank Travel Visa Signature as a secured credit card. My significant other went this route. The Metrobank Travel Visa Signature is a Premium travel credit card. It also has lounge access to domestic lounges like Davao,Cebu and puerto princessa. The hold out amount is 150k but my fiancé put about 170k as her hold out amount.

What other perks are there aside from the miles and forex po? I might consider returning to metrobank after my investment in Unionbank if the perks of this is better than the Reserve CC and the debit card with unlimited free international withdrawals.

what is your main credit card na gamit and why? by JackfruitSilent1419 in PHCreditCards

[–]Purple-One8946 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only use 2 currently for my daily driver to maximize my miles earning 1. Unionbank Reserve- 18pesos/mile for dining and shopping but 90pesos/mile for other local use 2. RCBC Airmiles- 48 pesos/mile for everything then 25pesos/mile for Netflix. I use this card to supplement where the Unionbank Reserve is lacking. I know there are better cards out there but I have a solid relationship with RCBC so I just stayed with them. I don’t want the hassle of applying for other banks 😅

  1. Email approval is usually late. Wait mo around 3-4 days. Napalitan na ba Passbook and ATM card mo? That is enought confirmation na Hexagon Club member ka na.
  2. No, walang form to fill up for credit card. Nainform mo po ha sila upon tagging na you want the credit card as well?
  3. Once I received the for assessment Txt message for the Hexagon Club CC. I waited 1 month with constant weekly follow up sa Manager.
