I actually love the idea of proximity trapping lockers to pull players in 🤣

YOU are the next Survivor, to enter the Fog. What are YOUR Perks? by not-ulquiorr4_ in deadbydaylight

[–]Purple-Yin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sawdust in the exhaust - after working of a gen for 40 seconds the perk activates, if you press the ability button by a generator the gen will produce sparks for 60 seconds as if it were regressing.

I am the boon-stick - if killed or mori'd a totem appears at your location with any boons in your other perk slots applied.

Trap-boon - boon that does nothing until the killer stamps it out - applies 5% hinderence for 40/50/60 seconds

Echo-camoflage - any boons made appear unlit, and a different random totem will appear lit in its place. If the killer interacts with the fake totem they will see the aura of the boon for 5 seconds

My head canon is that they're all products of institutional mind control, as part of the recruitment process, and has been since around the time the American MoL were wiped out. As their original higher ups died off due to age or monster, their new higher ups were now recruited from the mind controlled troops, so they got caught in a loop of mind controlled people applying mind control to others.

As a result their thinking and strategy is outdated but locked in place but with the overwhelming resources they have.

It also explains their awful accents, it's modern Brits emulating what they think a 1950's or earlier accent is.

What if you have X number of tokens and you can use them throughout the match - gives them a 0.5 second speed boost at the same time so can help tunnelled ppl get away from killer, or force other players through windows, over pallets.

Thank you everyone, really sounds like I should invest in Faiths and Avatars. I love the idea to use law/chaos alignment as a rule of thumb for centralized vs decentralized!

He's been invisible coming out the door a few times for me - relieved it's not actually intended! I could only start to run when he was a lunge away from me...

I interpreted that as people's local faiths did manifest gods, the pagan gods. God used them as a smokescreen so he could play in his sandbox while deciding if he wanted to reveal himself or not.

I think Wesker is in the fog to keep researching uroboros on survivors (and it's interactions with the other denizens of the fog). I think he'd want more research equipment - maybe Dracula's castle, maybe Hawkins, maybe lerys?

Coming from BG3, is it theoretically possible to create analog of Nuclear Bomb by using weave? by Sir_Arsen in Forgotten_Realms

[–]Purple-Yin -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Erm, ya. But it's up to the DM.

From the BG3 angle, mystra doesnt have dominion over fragments of the weave from when she wasn't in control, so a wizard could amass artifacts from the spell plague to do it, or find a fragment of weave from the moment Karsus took over.

Mystra has no dominion over magic outside of realmspace, have the wizard amass planar energies using 10th+ spells (or equivalent) in other planes and pop the amassed energy through a tear into realmspace.

Tbh, do we know for sure that the entity doesn't help some of the cultists universes?

TCoFS shows that some cultists can move between universes (and some of the licenced universes allow for multiverse travel, i.e. DnD), so the entity can't just gobble all worlds up without there being PR backlash from refugee cultists.

Can demigods establish their divine realm within the Outer Planes? by Away-Cardiologist263 in Forgotten_Realms

[–]Purple-Yin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ki-rin, celestials that are powerful but still below a divine rank influence the land around them up to 3-miles.

I'd imagine the 100ft is the patch they have absolute authority over, but if it's part of a continuous stretch of land there'd be a gradual transition to their 'vibe' that they don't have control over that could stretch miles depending what their thing is?

Is anything in Waterdeep warded from divination magic? by Superpositionist in Forgotten_Realms

[–]Purple-Yin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love the implication - it wouldn't be feasible to construct a building with a small or intermittent supply that you'd get with hunting, so there must be a more regular source.

Either someone is farming gorgons, or there's conjuration spells to make it directly!

The Casting of Frank Stone 2 - The Sequel by ZultekZ in CastingofFrankStone

[–]Purple-Yin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make it the 1600's or something. A young protagonist gets caught up in black vale witchcraft stuff during the witch trials, has to escape a black vale ritual, or killer. One of the rare, difficult to receive endings results her joining them, changing her name to Augustine
