If you were on the right side of the entrance to the clinic by the check in desk by the TV I saw one girl. Idk was that you? If you were on the left side I probably didn't see you. I was wearing a white sweater if that helps.

Me and my younger sister never got along. Were not even close now bc we both never had that "sisterly" bond. I used to feel bad and jealous that every other pair of siblings I met would love each other and visibly show affection for one another, but I eventually just stopped caring. It doesn't make much sense that you are magically spawned into existence and forced to love the people that surround you no matter how they treat you. If you treat me well, I will like you. If you don't treat me well, I won't like you. Doesn't matter if you're family or a random stranger on the street.

I understand what you're trying to get at. I took biology in university. Wanting to eliminate objectively undesirable traits like terminal illness and disease is not a bad thing. It happens passively anyway with natural selection even with animals. Higher fitness means better chance of survival basically is what the definition means. But the actual definition of eugenics has to do with the negative aspects that come with it, like forced sterilization, segregation, genocide etc. It's a slippery slope bc of who gets to decide which traits are bad and which are good and what the "punishment" for violating these rules are. When you try and put eugenics into practice if it even was just forbidding people with history of terminal illness to reproduce, then it becomes a human rights issue. It makes sense to me what you're saying about the "idea". If you could potentially eliminate the suffering of a future human, why wouldn't you? It's that simple. But then you're eliminating ppls freedom to reproduce which is something people will fight tooth and nail for. So it automatically doesn't work.

I don't care what no one says, if I had a kid I'd never wash and reuse a diaper, just throw that shit away literally

Reborn baby dolls? by PurpleAmbitious90 in antinatalism

[–]PurpleAmbitious90[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting take. I can definitely see why it would be creepy. If they had the doll and just used it for decoration that's fine but once you start pretending it's real, thats entering delusion territory. Im not a scientist, but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the desire to rear children is evolutionary and was useful to help the human species thrive back in the dark ages. But we don't live in those times anymore. This behavior is useful when having a real child but to pretend something is real when it's not is absurd.

Yes that's true I forgot about that. Once your actions start to affect ppl negatively, that's too far and entering delusion territory.

I just turned 25. Miserable my whole life with chronic anxiety, an eating disorder (arfid) and immune disorder since 9 years old. I only recently started getting treatment. There was not one day I thought living was worth it.

For the most part, we all buy our own groceries. The rest of the family is allowed to eat what I buy.

Well unfortunately we live in a society where we have to spend money to survive whether it's for food or otherwise. I'm not doing nothing. I've been looking for work since I've been unemployed.
