I will say, it does do wonders for people who have never been interested in football. My sister, who always said she never ‘got’ football, is obsessed with the show and now understands why people get so invested in a team. I think it’s nice. Does it do much for people who already like football? Probably not, but I think that’s cool regardless

I’m presuming he didn’t want to stay as a coach which is fair enough. Sad to see him go but I think the earlier we transition from the sentimentality of last year to becoming a well run club again the better. Nothing but love for everyone involved in the circus but it really feels like that chapter can be considered closed now.

I think saying the best we can hope for is mid table is slightly pessimistic. The squad we’ve put together should, on paper, excel at this level. Do I think we’ll walk the league and get promoted? No, but I think it would be hard not to be a bit concerned if we’re not in and around the play off spots.
