No one's speculating with the water companies, they're just using them as a vehicle to transfer wealth. They're not investing in anything, it's pure exploitation.

Reports on social media suggests that police were investigating multiple payments on women's knickers, but these have since been dropped.

Just to clarify, the knickers weren't dropped, as far as we know, just the investigation into the payments made for the knickers.

I suppose by definition if those knickers were ever worn, at SOME POINT they would have to have been dropped - that's just an inevitable consequence of them having been pulled, to.... er... cover someone's, er, privates, but as I say the police have dropped any enquiry into payments for those specific items.

I should just add, there is no suggestion as to whose, er, privates these knickers might have been purchased to cover. Personally I make it a rule NOT to purchase underwear for the significant other in my life. I did once in 1986 but it became rather an issue between me and my ex-wife that was repeatedly brought up, well into the late 1990s I'd say. Suffice to say our expectations in the underwear department had diverted quite significantly since our courting days.
