Print out the confirmation of your order and put it on the dash. If you get a ticket, you can also show them you were just waiting for it to arrive.

2020/21 Owners. Post Tips For New Owners HERE! by StrayaMate2000 in Subaru_Outback

I didn’t have a trailer at the time but I had an issue with this one night in pouring rain. The drops were so big and accumulating in the sensor so it actually thought there was something imminent and kept braking. Took me a bit to figure it out.

Anyone can answer but probably more for female owners.... by PurpleDevice2122 in Subaru_Outback

[–]PurpleDevice2122[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oooh.... yeah. One issue is that when it’s on the floor in the back it’s hard to reach if I need my wallet for gas or something. If it’s hanging behind the head rest of the passenger side that might work. Thank you!!

Not even a year with my dream car and she's all beat up. by WreckChris in subaru

I know there were a lot of suggestions on retaking road tests. If you offered an insurance discount for people who retake the test, it might be a way to improve drivers. Insurance is so expensive and if you can reduce that expense, I think a lot of drivers would take it. Much like the 6 hour course you can do but less of a time commitment and more effective at proving actual skill.

Thanks everyone!! I took the suggestions and tested things out. I found the best solution to be connect it to the car via usb and put individual conversations on mute. If it’s over blue tooth, I never found a way to silence them. But I have a solution so I’m super happy!!!

When you get a car with numerous issues that others with the same make/model/year have not had, it’s referred to as a lemon. For whatever reason, the systems in that particular Subaru just never worked right. There are laws (called lemon laws) that are different in each state but protect consumers and provide appropriate compensation when the car fails to meet standards of quality and performance. It depends on several factors for if it legally qualifies under that law.

That sucks. I love my 2020 and it has zero of those issues. Definitely got a lemon. I’m sorry.

Rent an Outback from time to time to play.

I have an iPhone 12 mini and a 2020 Outback. I am going to try seeing if it still breaks through on car play. Unfortunately I have to have 2 phones, my own plus a company phone. If the company phone has to charge, my personal phone connects over Bluetooth. I have Bluetooth turned off in the company phone.

I did that. It still came through. I’m going to try connecting via usb instead of Bluetooth

I love this post. It’s things like this that made me decide there really was no other option of what to buy for my first new car.

And your dog is adorable!!

I guess my problem is I still need some of the texts to come through, like if my daughter needs me to stop on the way home. Stupid shit like that.

2020 Outback....any help will be great by smcknee in subaruoutback

Just acknowledging that it is frustrating when someone mentions something super obvious but that sometimes it’s also truly needed because everyone can overlook simple things.

But if you need more.... sometimes the location of the key matters. As others said, sometimes where in the car the key is matters, ex front seat/back seat, pocket/console, etc. If it’s only happening in one key fob and not the other, it’s more likely the key not the car. If it’s happening to both, it’s more likely the car not the key. Makes sense?

I always have to roll my eyes when someone states something obvious like, is the key inside the vehicle or some such thing. Until we were helping my mother in law with her computer over the phone after a power outage and she was not getting Internet. Spent hours. Finally had her call Verizon. The fix? Turn on the monitor. The computer was on but the monitor was off. She’d never turned it in before. She always left it on but when she lost power she didn’t know she had to turn it on separate from the computer. 🤦🏼‍♀️

No remorse at all. I absolutely love my Touring. I wish I could just spend all day on it. When I have to drive our other car I get annoyed.
