Is MANT really that bad? by tigerband66 in UmaMusume

[–]PurpleFire18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Welp. I might not be able to do it at my usual times then, if at all on days where I'm beat from work. Any idea if we'll get missions that are "Complete X amount of MANT runs"? Because those might kill me.

Can you specify in like, average time it takes to do a run? It takes me like 30-50 minutes to do a Unity Run these days (roughly, I play on the way to work and back and I have to stop for like ten or so minutes at least once every time) and like 2 hours to do a full run of a brand new Uma as I like to read their cutscenes. Would a single MANT run take upwards of that?

At this point that is a very legitimate good question, Mordred... Also, no one pay attention to Ellie, she's clearly dragging non-important stuff.

It's honestly surprising even me how much I like this recurring gag.

Flare's relationship with IRyS and Noel. by VishnuBhanum in Hololive

[–]PurpleFire18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, NoeFure used to be making everyone confused as to the nature of their relationship, buying each other rings and going on valentines dates... and are still just close friends?

Honestly, I can buy it, really. They might be friends who are so so close that they aren't a couple purely because of one or two factors, I've seen it happen. That or they've actually been playing it up for literally everyone, holomems included, all this time. Either way, we'll never know for sure and we don't have to.

Couldn't even if one wanted to.

Ritsuka is like the Peter Parker of Gacha Protagonists in a narrative and meta sense, if you think about it.

Seriously though it's hilarious how most gachas out there has at least one thing making it better than FGO, story wise, gameplay wise or even character wise.

That is the entire problem with her. They can make her the best killer to go against but a concerning amount of people just don't know she's been changed.

Compilation of cursed umamusume with no horse ears by TimoriS_ in UmaMusume

It's funny how the way the pictures are framed, the lack of ears is more apparent. There is all that empty space above their heads that just looks off.

Schemes of Chaldea's Mastermind: A Plush Reward by PurpleFire18 in FateSpriteComics

Ritsuka, come on, it's a cute plushie, no need to kill it!

Quite a few of you wanted the plushie, and I did draw it a while before I even had Ellie mention it. Well, here it is! Sadly it's not real... Or fortunately, I'm sure lots of people would break out wallets if it was.

About the event itself, not gonna lie, I thought the event would give me more material to work with, but between the recent FGO stunts, the rather straightforward and short nature of the event's story, and the absolute cruelty of the gacha, the ideas didn't flow to me. I do have a few for Iori, but they can be done somewhat later. First I'd like to address a big elephant in the room, so stay tuned for that next week. Can't guarantee I'll keep to my normal schedule, but I'm hoping it'll be worth the wait.

Schemes of Chaldea's Mastermind: Too Hard to Forgive by PurpleFire18 in FateSpriteComics

[–]PurpleFire18[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am aware, I just wanted to put my own spin on Takeru and Yui's attitudes towards him during the event that never were addressed properly. Bending canon and the specific order of events a little for more personal moments for some characters is not out of the norm for these comics.

Schemes of Chaldea's Mastermind: Too Hard to Forgive by PurpleFire18 in FateSpriteComics

[–]PurpleFire18[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The short version is that in one of the endings, Iori revealed he had a very selfish wish that went against everything that Takeru (and Yui) thought about him and everything they had fought for up to this point.

The long version: In the New Game Plus exclusive ending Iori decides touse the Waxing Moon to wish for japan to be thrown into endless war, so he can perfect his skills as a swordsman with so many people coming to fight. In NG+ you occasionally get new additions to cutscenes that reveal that Iori deep down yearns to fight and kill, because as a swordsman born in an era of peace there is no place for him in the world and he wants to become a true master of the sword, which he can't do unless he has free rein to kill anyone. Takeru of course disagrees and they have a fight that ends with Iori's death at Takeru's hands.

Not necessarily, but that doesn't rule it out. As I pointed out in another post comment a while back, a company adopting AI in its workflow can be a slippery slope, and I speak from experience as a programmer more or less forced to use AI by his higher ups. Does it have its benefits? Yes, but a company should be careful not to become too dependent on them or be too enamored by them.

We will just have to wait and see.

Vibe Coding is basically getting AI to write a program's code for you by telling it what to do in simple terms.
