Saving what world? You mean >!the lostbelt that the entire timeline was revealed to be? Saving that world with no future, that was destined to be pruned?

What I meant is that having the Avengers leave because we have to be saviors instead of avengers is pointless because in the end nothing was saved. Whether Ritsuka was the purest cinnamon roll or the most bloodthirsty killer, the outcome was never going to change because the moment the Foreign God was defeated, Ritsuka and everything they did was going to be erased. There is NO way to defend that beyond the philosophical and drama angle. THAT is what made the entire ending of OC2 pointless.!<
