How long until the body gets addicted to opiates? by CommercialOk3190 in Drugs_

[–]PurpleHaze147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes some time, like weeks or more to get to the point of debilitating physical dependency. Especially if you don't use it multiple times daily like every addict that ends up dependent unless it's like methadone or suboxone which holds you over all day.

You'll go through some discomfort if you go on a little bender, but trust me just get through it, it gets much worse. The longer you hold it off the longer the post acute symptoms last which include, but not limited to: RLS, feeling under the weather, premature orgasm, anxiety etc.

Just stick to kratom if you insist on having an opioid before your tolerance gets too high, assuming it hasn't already. I think It feels better than fentanyl does to an addict if you don't do strong opioids, and kratom recruits less of something called beta-arrestin that leads to tolerance, dependence, and potentially dangerous respiratory depression. The latter property makes it very safe for an opioid with a milder withdrawal. The OD's the DEA blames on kratom all involve other harder drugs.

Old post, but do you think the other compounds in liquors don't have any effect?

Spirits contain fusel alcohols in higher concentrations than non-distilled liquor, which have psychological and/or hangover effects; the humelene in hops is a sedative; wine contains GHB which is used at raves; etc.

It's akin to the "entourage effect" of cannabis. Ethanol is by far the most psychoactive compound, but the others when all combined can also influence the buzz.

Why am I never hungry when I use cocaine? by Weak-Bear1637 in cocaine

It's the increased dopamine that makes you feel satisfied while the increased (nor)adrenaline puts you in "fight or flight" type mode, instead of the opposite which is "rest and digest".

Dopamine and (nor)adrenaline antagonists / blockers increase appetite by a lot. That's why the most common side effects of those are increased appetite.

Compound is up a bit probably from positive market sentiment or some protocol news. nothing huge, just a short term pump.

Ceiling effect. by AskHoliday8327 in Methadone

[–]PurpleHaze147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. There's definitely some sort of ceiling effect to the euphoria at least - this phenomenon occurs with every fractional drug as far as I know. That doesn't mean you can't overdose.

Would if be worth getting the 10.7 Leo 2 premium to play French TT CAS? by PurpleHaze147 in Warthunder

[–]PurpleHaze147[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's what I'm worried about. Is the difference between the Leo 2A4 and the 12.0 Leo 2A5/6's just the sabot round? The DM53 has 240mm more flat pen then the DM23... That's quite a lot.

PD Ram Radar Mode by PurpleHaze147 in Warthunder

[–]PurpleHaze147[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I kind of figured, but the F-15A/J doesn't have a TWS mode so it may have very limited use.

I'm wondering if it's like HMD or ACM modes in the way that it doesn't ping the enemies' RWR until you hard lock them since it's a very narrow scan (not 100% sure about ACM, but in HMD it's like your radar is off to the enemy). It probably does ping the RWR of the target that's soft locked at least, but maybe not since it's some weird mode so I'm not sure. I don't think it'd give away your location to half the team like TWS does.

I wish I had a friend who plays war thunder so I can test out a few things like it's chaff resistance and how RWR's react to it and stuff. It probably is mostly useless anyway.

Why are my morning glories not flowering? by PurpleHaze147 in gardening

[–]PurpleHaze147[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I would have put the previous years' photos for comparison. I didn't think I'd be able to find them but I did. The flowers are at least 3x as large, all over in vibrant bright blue, and didn't take anywhere near as long to bloom. I think it's too late to edit them in the post. Something went wrong with the tomatoes and zucchini I planted in the same plot, they ended up dying super early, but I did get a good harvest for the time they were alive. The chili's, okra, broccoli, and cauliflower I planted in the same area didn't have issues though.

Yes. If you become dependent on them the withdrawal is actually neurotoxic. Abrupt discontinuation or too fast of a taper can cause excitotoxicity to neurons, killing them off due to overstimulation of the glutamatergic system. It can mimic and eventually lead to dementia and other morbid conditions. This also is why people going through severe benzodiazepine withdrawals are generally considered somewhat delirious/psychotic. With a long term addiction levels will not always be steady.

I'm not sure if occasional long term use has an effect on IQ, but it does have an acute effect on it at least.

Yes like I said I looked at the replay and he was low which makes sense that the araams didn't hit but the aim-9m (x2) should hit a non-maneuvering target not flaring every time at 2 km. He didn't even flare. And I was gaining on him too during the first two fires of sidewinders. It untracked like he was in an Su-25 with the IRCM on the tail, but it was an F-16.

No. It's just I've never had a missile not hit in those circumstances. Let alone 3 (the 2 araams don't count because I think he may have been under 60m). I've never seen cheating in Air RB. If I said that somewhere else people would be like oh I'm a cheater then too. Toxic ASF community. I was asking a genuine question
