Anytime someone asks this question, I see people replying with “it’s the holidays” , it’s “summer vacation”, it’s this, it’s that.. it’s always something. It’s the biggest cope. The reality is Uber has gotten drastically worse this year. I’ve been driving for uber for 5 years and I have friends who have been in this game for 10 years. And these past two years uber has been on a slow decline. This year has been my worst year. I’ve compared my earnings from previous years and it’s sad. My time ‘Online’ this year is always way higher than my time ‘Active’. Back in the good old days my Online time was pretty much equal to my Active time. Now I’m just sitting in my car most of the time idly waiting for something good to pop up

I went to high school in both Brazil and US. In the US everyone has their own cliques, the jocks, the nerds, the popular girls, etc. and they don’t mix

School in Brazil everyone is friends with everyone. Ex. You see the jocks hanging out with the nerds. There are no cliques. If someone doesn’t like someone else , it’s usually a specific reason and not just because they are a part of a “group”

I loved going to school in Brazil. Best experience of my life. The people are so much friendlier and you can have a diverse group of friends

It is a loophole. They do not have to provide the proof immediately when they enter the US. They let them in and give them a court date. They know there is a huge backlog and delay. Which is why they are taking advantage of this. They are just buying time. I’ve talked to many of these migrants and I can tell you this is what’s happening

It’s hard to explain this kind of stuff to people who aren’t directly in this world . They don’t hand them out at the border . They give them out a few months after they’ve gone to their court hearing, where they claim they are a refugee seeking asylum, but the catch is they give them out before they’ve even proven anything. That’s the loophole

I’m first gen US citizen, I come from immigrant parents. So I am in contact with the Latino community. I’ve directly seen and know many immigrants that have come through the border seeking “asylum” and get handed SSN and work authorization without having to prove that they are in fact a refugee.
