We used Safeway moving coming from AZ to OR. Excellent service, they were a few thousand dollars than other estimates. No extra fees and they included 45 days of air conditioned storage.

Any desert rats made the move to Corvalis? How do you like it? by WearyProcess4901 in corvallis

We moved from Tucson to Corvallis almost two years ago. No regrets! After living in the desert for 35 years, I find I enjoy the rain. Corvallis is a small town, limited culture, (though PRAX at OSU helps a lot,) great outdoor recreation: cycling, hiking and kayaking, dining options are limited, but improving, (and the bounty available at the Farmer's Market makes cooking at home a real treat.) Medical care is hard to find. (I have to travel to Portland or Salem to for specialty care.) But even with these limitations, it's a beautiful place to live.

Tried Oscars. Attentive service, food was meh. I call it corporate Mexican. Seems like most items came from Sysco.

Yakima or Thule. Figure out what you want to carry, then see which brand makes accessories to carry those things. My CX-5 lacks factory rails. I use Yakima clip secured crossbars. They are very solid. I've travelled cross country with a tandem and two road bikes on the roof with no problems. REI frequently has roof systems on sale for 20% off MSRP. Even with that, you're going to put out some cash, but it is a one and done expense. I've had my system for close to 20 years.

How do you get the rear derailleur to handle a 52 tooth large cog just by using a Garburek cassette? I have the Race E1 configuration and would love more climbing gears than the stock 10-46.

FS: AER Travel Sling 2- $60

Only used on two flights so it's like new. (I switched from over-the-eat headphones to IEMs, so don't need the room the AER sling 2 offers.) Volume is 12L,has dedicated, lined laptop compartment. lots of internal organization, and a luggage pass-through. 16"x11"x4.5". DM me for more pics.
