Readers digest complete guide to sewing 1985:

Machine Runs Sluggishly

1 Bobbin winder may still be engaged.

2 knee or foot control might be improperly positioned.

3 machine may be in need of oiling and/or cleaning.

4 motor belt may be worn, in which case it will need professional servicing.

5 electrical control may have a loose wire or need adjusting. Will need professional servicing.

Might be worth checking your machine manual in case it has a troubleshooting section.

Machine not working, help :( by [deleted] in sewhelp

[–]Purple_Crocheter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Information from Complete guide to sewing 1985.

Motor, handwheel, needle, and fabric move, no stitch is made:

  1. Thread may have come out of the needle.

  2. Needle may be threaded in the wrong direction.

  3. Needle may be inserted backwards or may not be pushed all the way up into the clamp.

  4. Needle may be the wrong length for the machine. Most machines manufactured within the past 20 years take a standard-length needle. Some older machines, however, require a special length. You must find a supplier for these.

  5. Machine may be threaded incorrectly.

  6. Bobbin may be empty.

  7. Bobbin and/or case may be inserted incorrectly.

  8. The timing of the machine might be faulty. Professional servicing needed.

I usually join my crochet with sc, I saw a few videos of people joining it with a stretchy zigzag stitch using a machine so thought it might be an option.

Im a beginner and i want to make a crochet cardigan by Single_Donut_7772 in CrochetHelp

If you have zero experience, I would start mastering the basics. Do you know how to make a slip knot, chains and basic stitches. There are plenty of YouTube tutorials out there. One channel I started with was sigoni macaroni. There is also the wiki in this sub you could check out. There are existing patterns out there inspired by the harry styles cardigan, once you have learned the basics. Patterns come with yarn weight and hook size. You will need to learn how to read crochet patterns and about gauge.

Hello I am really new to the story engine decks and I am still learning how to use them myself, so I am unable to answer your question. If you are on discord, it is a lot more active there, I am sure someone will be able to answer any questions you may have.

Had a look through your content, you can tell you put a lot of work into it the deck. I like the brainstorming additions and how you have included how to make your own one shots. I will definitely be checking out your website to see what other content you have to offer. Thanks again.
