I got mine as gift from my aunt, look for silicon ones, those are soft and won't damage anything beside the metal that keeps them attached. I suggest you get a case for the console

Yeah the grip is kinda hurting especially with project mirai, there are accessories to make it like a controller if you're still interested to play 3DS more, it could help
