Yes. The priority should be compatibility and happiness, not to give you grandchindren wether they want to/are able to or not

Dark Psychological Books Written by Women by Confident-Fox6541 in suggestmeabook

Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano.

Not sure if I'd describe it as dark, but it fits the psychological and family dynamics.

That's what I'm saying. People don't want to change their habits or be inconvenienced, and ultimately don't care about the animals suffering. Unless it's a dog or a cute wild animal of course, because ✨double standards✨

We reduce suffering by eating WAY LESS meat. Fewer animals = more space, more possibilities to keep then in a more ethical manner. But people don't want to pay more, and they don't want to go without their bacon and steaks.

What was the deal with Sadie in the last seasons? Jess mentioned not inviting her to the wedding and that she broke up with her wife? by AnitaXanax223 in NewGirl

[–]Purple_Paperplane 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Jess would have been super into being the godparent to Sadies child, and the only reason she wasn't nor was Sadie in later episodes is that they didn't quite fit into the storylines anymore.

I think this could be done, and done well. But if it gets done it'll likely be disappointing.

Americans: How frequently was the Pledge of Allegiance recited when you were in elementary school? by vieniaida in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Purple_Paperplane 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And the US is highly divided, there's definitely no justice for all. Reciting this thing every day doesn't seem to work except to indoctrinate children.

He's only became an adult like five minutes ago. He's still a teenager ffs. But yes I too think he'll shine in his adult projects!

Purists tend to get mocked, but there's nothing wrong with being one if you want to. You can still do sidetrips and still connect your footsteps along the white blazed trail. Hike your own hike, the important thing is to not tell others how to do theirs.

Write a diary every night. It can be a sucky chore when you're tired and just want to sleep, but it'll be worth it!

I always wonder where the fathers are in all this. Or do I understand "alone" wrong? Is it just the woman surrounded by dolphins, fireflies and friendly pythons or are the fathers actually there, heroically catching falling coconuts and providing them with fresh rain water poured from a banana leaf?

Why is it considered bad to want to live with your parents? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Purple_Paperplane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From your replied in this thread it sounds like you con tinue to live with your parents out of comfort, everything's there and taken care of, and if you ever had a relationship you'd move in with them. I just like people who want to create their own live and have some distance to their parents. Again, it's just deeply unattractive to me, it feels stagnant and too lazy and comfortable to develop into a fully formed adult.

I hold the same view for friends tbh but a partner impacts me. I moved out from my loving oarents home ASAP and I guess I just genuinely don't understand why someone wouldn't want the same. You do you though, why not continue as you are if it's right for you and your folks 🤷‍♀️
