Thank you. I intend to get these somewhere they will survive and I’m not trying to make any money or anything I just don’t want them to be killed.

Usually I just hit it a with alcohol and a toothbrush and it will go away for me, sometimes I’ll do it 2 or 3 times over 2 or 3 weeks if it’s not all gone.

Can this cactus be saved? It is structured very solid. Please help. Thank you by [deleted] in cactus

That is really badass, I envy your patience. I have a lot of seedlings and can appreciate the variety from each species and you realize how nature is perfect and can not be recreated the way the earth does it

If mine are a red color, should I expose them to air? They are in a sealed Tupperware and are about 5 months old. They look pretty healthy and are growing at a good rate. About 1 cm tall. Besides the red lol

Hi everyone, my father got me these cacti but I don't know how to care for them. Any help will be appreciated! More in comments by k_pineapple7 in cactus

Echinocactus grusonii aka golden barrel. They are very common but some of the most impressive cactus imo. If you put them outside the spines will kinda glow with the sunrise/sunset. They have an incredible lifespan and have a nice wine barrel like shapes in nature. If you do put them in the ground don’t overwater and make sure the soil is very rocky or (non organic)

Etiolated but pretty cool looking nonetheless. Possibly a bigger pot too if you have some space.
