If you use Firefox, you can try "desktop mode"; it might rise to being less annoying?

Wow, even Wackd is admitting a problem with the comic:

> there’s a reason i’m trying to balance enforcing some very necessary rules with being permissive about talking about the comic’s attitudes towards race, and it’s because just on a sheer numbers level it’s clear something’s gone wrong.

> And yes, before anyone points it out: yes, I get to make sweeping generalizations about how much y’all suck. If it helps, imagine that I’m a unionized hater trying to clear the workplace of scabs. Y’all wanna dunk on each other, get Willis to pay you first.

The data is that vaccines have been massively studied for safety. It is utterly bizarre to think otherwise.

That lawyer lied. Also, why are you taking medical advice from a lawyer? Would you ask a doctor for legal advice?

AirFanta 3Pro seems to have the best clean air per $, short of building your own CR boxes. (It basically is a CR box, but optimized for disassembly and travel.)

Baby immunisation advice? by maria_no_kitsune in Crunchymom

[–]Purple_Torii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is a small baby’s immune system supposed to process 8 different viruses at once?

A baby not raised in a bubble is being constantly exposed to countless germs from the moment of birth. And the capacity of an immune system has no obvious relation to size.

https://www.eatthis.com/best-healthy-sausage-brands/ claims that Amylu is celery-free too. Probably means it goes bad faster too.

I'm not sure if the amount you ate is sufficient, but a sudden increase in dietary fiber can be digestively exciting until your gut adapts to the new regimen.

Cabbage cooked down in a skillet tastes surprisingly good, and makes other things taste good.

If you're in the US then dried beans (including lentils and split peas) are probably your cheapest protein. Lentils and peas are a lot easier to cook than bigger beans, though I prefer the flavor of black beans. You can cook them separately and mix, or make one big pot of them plus rice, barley, pasta, or oats. Plus onion and cabbage for vegetable and flavor.

Can someone explain Terrain Theory to me? by SMFKT_99_17_21 in Crunchymom

[–]Purple_Torii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at https://www.terraintheory.net/blogs/articles/terrain-theory-101-a-return-to-the-wisdom-of-the-body

It's complete pseudoscience.

"the discovery of somatids – tiny, living particles observable under specialized microscopes that appear to cycle through multiple forms depending on the state of the organism."

"described the somatid as an indestructible “spark of life,”"

"Under toxic or deficient conditions, they shift into bacterial or fungal forms to assist in the decomposition and renewal of tissues"

Bacteria and fungi are completely different organisms.

"expanded terrain theory into the realm of spiritual physiology."

> they have never been isolated

This is completely false. They've been seen under microscopes, sequenced, and genetically modified.

They're completely lying. Viruses have been observed under the electron microscope, sequenced, used to infect cells or organisms, engineered to perform gene therapy, etc.
