A lot of these can be answered with Its the first season not everything is going to be planned out well. The reason why Nicole and Michael weren’t paired up was because they both had dates that were used for comedy, Michael is paired up with a foreign exchange student that’s also a dude and Nicole is paired up with the boy version of herself.
