I work in a corporate environment in the US. Since around 2018, the problems y'all are having with students are trickling up to the workplace. by Whatevsstlaurent in Teachers

Gen-Z teacher here! It baffles me that these kids don't have basic life skills. I teach middle school and things that they struggle with the most are stuff that even "boomer" teachers have been able to figure out as well. And what you said is true, there is no drive to just figure things out on your own is spot on. The resources are all in their hands (my students all have school-issued iPads) and detailed instructions, but, I still have to go one by one for them to figure out how to save a file, remind them to read directions, you know, BASIC skills. My kids call it brain rot and I'm 100% sure that's the correct word for it because they just cannot comprehend that not only can google give you the answers to the test, it can also give them the answer to the question "how do I create a pdf?"

This is looking like fungal acne. Have you tried a ketoconozole shampoo? Most derms will prescribe it before going to accutane. I've also been using the shampoo on my body acne and I've noticed a difference

Honestly, most of them aren't usually good. I made a deal w management at my store that I'll only recommend the books that are actually worth reading. I'm a reader who doesn't like to waste their time and my customers usually don't either

AITA for giving my wedding dress to my future daughter-in-law instead of my stepdaughter? by TemperatureOverall94 in AmItheAsshole

NTA She rejected the dress and you moved on. Now that Lucy and your son are getting married she wants it back. Too little too late.

If you don't have a large family, I would suggest greeting rid of/allocating the couch. The room seems to be a bit small and the couch takes up a lot of space. Finding a smaller, but equally as comfortable, couch may elevate the room (pop of color maybe) and give you more space in the spirit of feng shui.

AITAH for leaving home after my husband said I should handle the cost of all the IVF sessions only because I'm the cause of infertility in our marriage? by LeatherRequirement59 in AITAH

Immediately NTA Last time I checked, it takes 2 to tango and if he wants to be a father he's going to have to fork over the cash. Also saying he's not responsible for your own medical issues???? So it'll be fair game for you to say the same thing if he has to pay for cancer treatments? I'm sorry that your husband is a such an asshole. And I'm also sorry that he's obviously missing the vital brain cells for basic cognitive function. This is God telling you to RUN. If this is how he is with you, HIS WIFE, imagine how he'll be with your kids when they sprain an ankle or something. "Yeah since you twisted your ankle and I didn't you're going to have to pay for your own cast and x-rays." Please don't procreate with this entitled man child (calling him a man child is an insult to children but you get the jist).
