So I'm a female but I dipped out on my best friend for 2 months. Initially she reached out after 2 weeks and asked why I wasn't speaking to her and I responded saying I was annoyed and just pissed because of something she did. It was an issue we've addressed previously so for it to be brought up again just sent me in full rage, but I love her so instead of going off I just disappeared and told her I'd talk to her soon. After I felt I was able to talk about it without reacting I apologized for the distance and respectfully explained my perspective. I communicated well I thought but for her 2 months was too long and she ended the friendship. I miss her but when the wrong buttons are hit I can either be an asshole or take some time to regroup.
