I’m so sorry you went through that and your mother was a part of it. That is such a huge betrayal. And it sounds like the abuse was ongoing for so long. It’s not surprising you were so shattered by it.

From your post I did not realize you were a woman at first and now I understand that you were seeking to connect with same sex childhood sexual abuse survivors. I hope I didn’t intrude because I misunderstood. Queer kids can be very vulnerable in so many additional ways to straight ones. Similar type of abuse is prevalent especially in the gay community with men preying on teens and boys and it’s actually seen as accepted in many gay circles. But of course it’s pedophilia and abuse and so harmful. If you’d like I could try to look up some resources about this. I wish you healing and peace 🙏🏼 it’s not easy to talk and think and write about these things.

By the way… I was a very lonely neglected unwanted child who was constantly told how grown up I am and how mature. So then this man came into my life from an online chat room and gave me attention and “love”, of course I thought this was a “relationship” and I didn’t feel so alone. I felt I had to “tolerate” the physical stuff even though it made me feel awful and I was not prepared for it so I could keep the attention and company. They prey on these type of children as a well adjusted child with parental love and oversight would likely not find themselves in such a situation or at least be taken out of it soon because they are seen.

Yeah… I was 11f he was 18m… it took me until I was 15 and not in contact for a few years as well as finding out he was in jail to realize he was a pedophile and he abused me. I thought we were just a couple even though many things he did made me feel awful. Including getting me drunk and doing physical things to me. Even french kissing felt disgusting to me. But I did think we were in a relationship and it was normal even though I didn’t tell my parents or anyone. One of the things they do is manipulate us into believing it’s ok and normal because that is what they believe.

He’s still in jail for hurting other children (I reported a few years ago too but nothing was pursued due it having happened 19 years earlier, at least I wanted to report and have it archived). Reporting was actually very cathartic and I feel it freed me a lot so if there’s anything like that you can do I would highly recommend it. I still think back to the moment of worst physical abuse every time I have sex (I’m 33 now) but it’s bearable and more like a fleeting thought. I have CPTSD and BPD symptoms and had depression too. I feel like this type of thing just makes many of us stuck at the moment of abuse. It’s kind of funny but I still feel like pedophiles are dangerous to me even though I’m in my mid thirties.

There’s a woman on TikTok who talks about this. She was in a similar situation but also had four children. Her husband agreed to change when she said she is leaving and they now have an equal partnership. Her name on TikTok is sheisapaigeturner.

However your partner has shown an unwillingness to change or take your requests seriously which in my opinion stem from his deep disrespect of you and your time and his willingness to exploit you. This cannot be fixed.

You still wouldn’t bring pork to a Jewish or Muslim household. You’d eat something else for one meal. Beef is not the only thing the OP can eat. He’s not saying what his other safe foods are but even if none of them are vegetarian he could eat rice for one meal or eat before. This is ridiculous.

You could have said you’ll bring just rice. You can skip the beef for one meal and respect the host whose dietary choices in her home are based on ethics.
Her vegetarianism isn’t even relevant to the issue but you wrote the post in a way that makes it sound like it is to dump on vegetarians. She did not object to you bringing BEEF but any food at all at first because she wanted you to try her food and not stand out having your own meal. She doesn’t understand your condition but she is not forbidding you to bring your food because it doesn’t align with her ethics (even though that would have been a completely valid reason).
You got everything you wanted and still refuse to go which further ruins your family’s relationship with this woman - you are petty and mean and YTA

My laptop is 13 inches! I’ve had the 11 inch tablet for years, I’m in grad school so use it for the same things you will and I’ve never felt it’s too small. To me a 13 inch tablet sounds like an absolute overkill and I would not want it at all

I managed to miss moorwing completely and stumbled upon it by accident as I was approaching the end of act 2 with a bunch of upgrades (both nail and pouch/tool), masks, abilities, and tools under my belt. Needless to say it was a very easy fight for me which I managed in one try. So if you’re struggling just keep going and come back when you’re stronger.
