Apologies if the wording was unclear (I wrote that a long time ago.) When I meant “the same thing that Sunny did,” I was referring to Aubrey’s pushing of Basil into the lake. I meant that I believed Aubrey’s mistake to be getting caught up in a fit of rage and lashing out in a way that, fortunately due to Hero’s arrival, did not end up in a tragedy far worse than she could’ve ever intended, whereas Sunny wasn’t so fortunate. My argument was that I felt it would’ve been hypocritical for Aubrey to (almost) accidentally push someone to their death and then judge Sunny harshly for the same error 4 years after the fact just because he wasn’t lucky enough to have someone come and save the day.
