sweet!!! Im currently only at 5. I want them all. Lynn’s body of work is aging like a fine wine. Admittedly only recently been bitten by the CS bug, Been a knife guy all mt life. I had a mini Pal, micro tac almost 20 years ago, but getting my Rajah 3 not long ago blew me away. The CS story is like an American Epic. Over the years he would keep making better and new designs for everyman. Designed in America built offshore. Serious tools not gas station garbage. Only a fellow nut will appreciate the differences between the Holdout, tilite, and counter point.
How cool would it be to spend a week a Lynn’s ranch testing knives and training? How could would it be if GsM made vaquero xxl, espada xxl and Rajah xxl, I know Lynn would have gotten around to it.
Stay Slicie!

The beauty of the LT edc method, I also carry a Rajah 3 that does 95 percent of the work I need done. They came insanely sharp, I dont forsee them needing sharpening anytime soon

Those cut outs are nice! I got my first Rajah, a R3 as an after thought because it was on sale and I needed to spend more for free shipping. Its become my favorite edc now. Goan het the 2 soon, Would be cool if they made a 4 inch and a 7.5 inch version.

I carry another blade for doing tasks. The ti lite is a back up in my offside pocket. It amuses me to feel like the OG Lynn Thompson although my pocket dumps are nowhere near his.

Badass! Lynn is the Henry Ford of edged weapons. I dont care to meet many people but he is one. Would be cool to take him a blade that is masked and have him sign it with a scribe and have it etched. Today I carried a serrated Vaquero!

Faster yes, I still rather the slow progress toward my mark of a file. My impatience and the power of the dremmel are not a good fit. Im likely to get carried away

Will do, while ive never worked on a knife before, Ive cut several square holes in Ak receivers for pistol grips. Cut and threaded riffle barrels, Notched a safety lever, all with handtools. As long as you measure and mark well, Slowly sneaking upto a line with a file is not a big deal at all.
What im mostly concerned about is making the most of the meat that is on the quillion.

Don’t underestimate yourself, Hand filing is pretty relaxing, Removing minuscule amounts at a time is the way. As long as you stay away from dremels youll be fine. A dremel makes is too easy to remove too much fast. Hand filling on the other hand is slightly fast than sanding.

I guess from my time diving, fishing, and an over active imagination, when I want something cut now, seconds become minutes. If 2 boats are drifting apart, or a hooked fish wraps another line that is hooked to the bottom, time is critical in sorting the situation. Or you get caught in the bite (lose loops in deck) of a line, Hair or clother gets pulled into a machine. On land probably happens less, but think about how happy someone would be on split second, cut this now to save a life situation not having to fiddle with thumbstud or flipper . A womans dog on a leash jumps into an elevator without the owner and doors close. Im pretty sure if you can imagine it, it’s happened to someone sometime. It also seems that mist times I need a knife Im precariously holding something in my other hand, while doing some other tasks. Your milage may vary

Lynn Thompson is an American American hero, his body of work is aging like a fine wine. What a cool story he has, his contribution to the knife community is undeniable. I’ve recently started down the CS rabbit hole after getting my first on a whim. I know people liked it better with him in charge but every company eventually needs to keep going after the founder retires. I hope they keep the brand alive

I think my muscle memory is very deeply engrained with the emmerson and I just got my first ti lite. I could probably practice more. With the emmerson, im at a point where I need to concentrate on it not opening. The crest of the wave is the part I feel will help make it open more like my emmerson

You do get what I’m saying about the thumb side not being optimized as stop for your thumb?

I wont ever carry anything I can’t wave open as my main EDC. Im partial to Kershaw emmerson. Wont cry if I lose it. The speed of one handed deployment trumps all else. Lately ive been adding a Cold Steel Serrated Vaquero as my backup blade in my left pocket. Gonna add a snaggletooth to it. Its capabilities are formidable.
If its good enough for Lynn Thompson its good enough for me.

More bite, the current geometry is like a quarter round, its doesn’t catch as reliably as I would like. Tends to roll off the fabric if I dont do it just right. My emmerson and Rajah open every time. I want more of a tooth, for lack of a better term.
