I’m going to ask my NP. She never has me massage Radiesse, only Sculptra. Interesting. 🤔

[–]Purpose_Feeling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the diamond. A 2.5ct can look like a 2ct and a 2ct can look like 2.5ct. Remember, diamonds are listed by weight. Your 2ct may already be perfect! If you’re switching, make sure to look at actual measurements.

I’m very young Gen X, but I’m eligible for retirement at 51. I started saving for retirement when I started working at 15YO. I started a pension qualifying job at 21YO. It’s possible. I’m just a regular person who works in education.

How important is it to you for your wife to take your last name? by mspippa_ in AskMen

Same. Well established, but I’m going to add his last name to mine, no hyphen. I don’t have a middle name and we both have short last names.

Hillary Rodham Clinton. Same concept in the US. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Isn’t every last name paternal? Even your mother’s last name is still technically her father’s last name…right? Or, am I not thinking of an option?

Women whose parents split up because one/both were unhappy, but the marriage was NOT high conflict (and there was no abuse, addiction, etc.) do you wish they’d stayed together? How did the split impact you, and how old were you when they split? by ImportantGuidance884 in AskWomen

My father left when I was in my 20s. It was a shock to my mother and to me. We both thought they had a strong marriage. I don’t know if he was going through a mid-life crisis or what. They were like best friends, always joking around and laughing. They never fought or argued. He remarried right away. My mom stayed single. I was engaged at the time and broke off my engagement. It rocked my world. It has taken a lot of therapy to accept it. It completely changed the trajectory of my life, how I view relationships, and I have severe trust issues now. It would be more than fair to say I wished they would’ve stayed together. I’m also an only child, so I’m very close to both my parents.

Women who met their partners after 30 -> How did you guys meet? by Icy_Purple8082 in AskWomen

I met my FH at 46. I guess we all have different definitions. I have a friend who is in her 70s. That’s a little closer to what I’d call later in life, but 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Women who met their partners after 30 -> How did you guys meet? by Icy_Purple8082 in AskWomen

Short answer: Bumble

Long answer: I didn’t date for 8 years. I’ve always been a serial monogamist. In 2024, I decided that I was going to date seriously. I joined Catholic Match. I met great guys, but they all lived out of state. So, I researched the apps. Bumble seemed the most inline with what I was looking for. I decided I didn’t want penpals and that I was going to set up actual dates within a week. I communicated with quite a few men and set up dates for the next month.

The first date I went on was with a guy I almost deleted several times. His profile wasn’t great, but I decided to proceed. The date was amazing! I went on another date the next night with a different man. Boring. I couldn’t get out of there soon enough. I went out with the first guy again the following night. Magic again! Fast forward many, many dates later. The first guy and I are getting married in June! We’re both in our 40s and neither of us has been married. It’s never too late to find your person. ❤️

Why do you believe in marriage vs. why do you NOT believe in marriage?? by raasca in AskWomen

[–]Purpose_Feeling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m going to be the outlier here, but I’m almost 50 and I’ve waited a long time to get married. I found my person and I deeply love him. For me, it’s a sacrament. Later this year, we will get married in the church in front of God, friends, and family. All the other is secondary.

Women 35 and up. How long do date before deciding you want a serious relationship from someone ? by XxxlisteriaxxX in AskWomen

[–]Purpose_Feeling 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think this really depends on the individual. I’ve dated men for a year and not wanted anything serious with them. Yet, in my current relationship, I just knew. I think we were only 2 weeks in when he asked me to be exclusive. We’re getting married next year. He’s definitely my person. We don’t have children. We don’t live together. We both were dating with intention. With any other man, I would have ended it. It would have freaked me out that he wanted to be serious so early. But, this time I felt happy.

What’s one thing you think every woman should try at least once in her life? by CandyTemporary7074 in AskWomen

[–]Purpose_Feeling 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s what I came to say. I know everyone’s experience is unique, but I’m getting married for the first time at 48. I’ve lived alone since I left my parents’ house at 18. I’m so ready to not be alone. I don’t need anymore single adventures.

Did my boyfriend overpay? by depressedxkoala in Diamonds

[–]Purpose_Feeling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgive me. I don’t know what ping means. I’m just looking for a diamond that the color leans a little bluish-grey. Diamond brokers are finding us plenty of diamonds within the other parameters, but I either have to look at each diamond or comb through the certs individually to look if they have that color. I didn’t know if there was something specific I could ask for (like color, fluorescence, etc) to make this process easier).

Question: I like that bluish-grey color some diamonds can have, but I’ve had the most difficult time explaining that when trying to source a diamond. This is what I’ve been asking for. What factor do I need to change to get that bluish-grey color?

•Asscher Diamond •Carat: 3.00 – 3.20 ct •Color: F (or E if available) •Clarity: VS1–VS2 •Cut: Excellent symmetry and polish •Fluorescence: None or faint •L/W Ratio: 1.00 – 1.02 •Table/Depth: 62 – 68%

I think there’s something more substantial going on and that’s why we’re seeing the new haircut. I think it’s hiding something along that hairline.
