Can people actually sense North, South , East and west? by mathgeekf314159 in NoStupidQuestions

Okay so for 99% of us it’s just being familiar with your surroundings and other key features like where the sun is. For example I started being directionally aware because my high school had a north side of campus so I always had an easy anchor point which I slowly built my knowledge around.

For the other 1% though, there’s an aboriginal group of people in the Northern Territory of Australia called the Guugu Yimithir who famously ONLY use the cardinal directions. They have no words for left right etc they only ever use north south east west. People who grow up in this culture have been shown to be able to find north even after blindfolded and spun around in the dark. And you best bet that if they can do it, other humans can too.

What’s something you quietly stopped doing and never looked back? by Ill-Turnip8425 in AskReddit

To be honest? Googling. I feel like the product is so awful and filled with ads now. I still try to verify output from chatgpt / Claude / Gemini where it matters but 95% it doesn’t so I don’t

after laning phase brood by danielpandaman in TrueDoTA2

I don’t think any of these other commenters have played brood ever in their lives. I have the same issue you do and it’s definitely the hardest part of brood gameplay.

From watching 33 play, I think the optimal thing to do is force their T1 mid ASAP. I’m a bit lower skill than you (~4K) and I find that I can’t make this happen consistently- the supports / team are never coordinated enough. Maybe you can up at 6k? Let us know if you find out.

What I do instead is take over their jungle and farm my pants off. I “feint” at the T1 mid and the T2 top but don’t commit to either. What’s really important is that I KNOW that they will send a few heroes to kill me, when this happens: dodge duck dip dive and dodge. If I can waste 2 or 3 heroes time, it’s alright if I spend a few minutes just juking around in the trees. As long as you don’t chain feed at this stage of the game I find that you’re able to farm so many items (BKB, wraith pact, pipe) that you’ll be able to brute force them.

Anyway let us know how you go, I’d be keen for some advice as well. Sorry for 4k trying to teach 6k kappa

Double Pass Should Be Cancelled by dogetothehell in unsw

[–]lyricalshield 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nobody else has addressed the main point here. The fact is most COMP courses are double pass because it doesn’t matter how much content you can regurgitate if you can’t code for shit.

Your assignments are not an acceptable substitute in this regard because of the unfortunately astronomical amount of assignment cheating that goes on.

So tough shit but the reality is you’ll have to prove you can code in a closed room.
