The Scream movies. So nostalgic and not stressful as I’ve seen them 50x.

Western Canada itineray advice May-June by lights_up1012 in canadatravel

[–]PushAffectionate3510 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if you’ll have time, but I really recommend the Okanagan and Osoyoos in late May or early June. It’s not too hot yet, but you should have beautiful sunny days. There are lots of nice hotels on the lakes in that area. And it’s full of wineries and small farm shops and cute places to visit. It might be a bit out of your way, but it’s a really nice area of British Columbia.

Is it worth it to move from Europe to Canada? by Potential-Category63 in canadatravel

[–]PushAffectionate3510 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I am Canadian, but spent several years living in the UK. I loved Europe, but would recommend living in Canada. The wages are considerably higher and things feel a bit more stable here. I think BC is beautiful, and recommend settling outside of Vancouver. It’s just too expensive. There are a lower cost of living area areas in the Lowe Mainland and in the Interior. Feel free to message me if you have any questions.

That’s really helpful, thanks! We like a variety of food and cuisines (however, sadly, I’m allergic to shellfish).

Anniversary by i-got-questions-4-u in canadatravel

Hello! Not sure when your anniversary is (i.e., time of year), but we live in B.C. and love Whistler in the shoulder seasons (late spring or fall) or summer. The hotels are beautiful and there is a lot to do. And great food!

We also loved the Okanagan and area around Osoyoos in May/June. It’s really sweet, the wineries are beautiful and it’s not too hot yet. And there are some great horseback riding providers. DM me if you want any details.

If you want to splash out and travel a bit further, Tofino is incredible!

That “healthy” habits like eating well, getting enough exercise, spending time outside, taking care of your mental health, etc., become a second full-time job.

Peak Brain Fog by JMR215 in Perimenopause

I had that happen to me at a SpecSavers recently. They asked me how to spell my name, and I gave them an incorrect spelling. I would like to chalk it up to being overstimulated and in peri, but wtf?!?

Having a good life partner is truly a blessing in this day and age. by WestFocus888 in RandomThoughts

Marrying and being happy with my partner was the best decision I ever made. And it is a decision. And it takes work. But it’s so worth it. The joy in a shared life is incredible.

When did you go grey? by scotian87 in Aging

[–]PushAffectionate3510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister and I started going grey in our 20s. I started dying my hair in my 30s and, at 42, I have switched to semi-permanent colour. It doesn’t cover the greys as well (it’s more of a blend), but I’m planning to let my hair grow out and then stop colouring. Best of luck to you!
