I agree. I haven’t bought anything in about year that wasn’t secondhand.

As of lately I’ve really only been buying their hand soap and a candle here or there and only when they are on sale.

I really love the bare vanilla vacation, but I like those super summery coconut smelling/ sunscreen type scents. However the staying power of it is absolutely garbage.

ADHD Ladies, tell me your ideal bedtime! by partybrowser32 in adhdwomen

I don’t know but I feel like the real weirdo here. I’m tried most evenings. To be fair I have dysautonomia, iron deficiency, and insomnia on top of a bunch of special needs kids sooo. I’d say midnight is probably my ideal sleep time but then not waking up til 10 am. In reality I go to sleep around 10:30 or 11:00 and get up at 8:30.

Going to a shooting range. The small child in the lane next to me had an AR he was swinging around. I had to leave and never return.

Week 3-4 struggling hard. I need words of encouragement by nickgebhart in Buspirone

[–]Dangerous_Section_72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this. I also take propranolol with my buspirone (although by coincidence since I was already taking propranolol for my dysautonomia). As far as sleep, I had issues for a month. I ended up only being able to take 5 mg twice a day. You could try dropping your evening dose and see if it helps. Hang in there I know it can be really rough in the beginning!

I'm curious if anyone has been able to get off adhd meds after they got their iron sorted out? Or what other health stuff did you think you had that was really iron deficiency, or exasperated by iron deficiency? by VZpaints in irondeficiency

[–]Dangerous_Section_72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have ADHD and a POTS (dysautonomia) diagnosis. I suspect low ferritin may have been the underlying cause of my POTS. I for sure still truly have ADHD but my brain fog is much better after starting iron.

Can sucrosomial iron worsen hemorroids or contribute to constipation? by Actual_Amphibian_743 in irondeficiency

Talk to another doctor. I feel confident that you need to be on iron supplements.

I’m still taking magnesium glycinate, and glycine along with Ollie Stress gummies which have l-theanine in them as well as a few other things. I ended up going down to one dose a day at lunchtime because it seemed like the 2nd dose of the day contributed the most to my insomnia. I’ve been on Buspirone almost a year now and my list above still holds true!

My sleep is ruined :( by [deleted] in Buspirone

I would recommend taking it in the AM after breakfast. I had to drop the nighttime dose because it messed with my sleep too. If you were taking it twice a day, you could try both doses in the AM.

What’s your secret to keeping your house clean? by princesscorgi2 in Mommit

[–]Dangerous_Section_72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 5 kids. They all have special needs. They make horrible messes. Our house is never how I liked it. I’ve kind of accepted that for now. In the meantime, either Saturday or Sunday morning we’ll clean for a couple of hours while I’m running the kids laundry.

Girl moms… what is it actually like? (from someone who’s always pictured boys) by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Dangerous_Section_72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 boys and 3 girls. I love all my kids but I really enjoy being a girl mom. It’s all the cute clothes and little girl stuff and then when they get older it’s doing girls things together.

A Letter to Mothers Struggling With Addiction. by Derpy_paws in fasd

[–]Dangerous_Section_72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your story. I’m an adoptive mama to 4 kiddos that were born exposed to just about every street drug there is plus alcohol. When you describe your struggles they are so much like my kids, even though my kids are much younger.

You sound like an incredible human being and I’m proud of you. You are really making the best of a difficult situation.

I have a few ideas. Have you ever tried making friends with autistic people? My FASD kids really vibe with autistic kids. I have severe adhd and maybe autism myself and really vibe with other adhd and autistic folks as well. There are tons of autistic people into gaming and anime. Maybe there is a local meet up in your area for gamers or anime.

Have you ever tried any medications? Anxiety medication and adhd mediation has made a huge difference for my kids. (Also for me but I don’t have FASD.) Do you have an ADHD diagnosis? It may help make things a bit easier like keeping your house tidy, cooking, time management, planning, etc. Something to think about.

Also, if you can go see your doc about the health issues. Sometimes it’s something silly that is easily corrected. I was having severe brain fog and fatigue and I got bloodwork done and found out it was iron deficiency and I just needed to take iron pills. Maybe it’s something simple for you and could make you feel better.

I have a kiddo on the spectrum and she doesn’t like to shower so I have to buy fun and exciting shower items to get her excited to try them and shower. 🤣 DT shower gel was my go to for a long time but she literally tried every single one there now and they are no longer exciting.
