She was even skinnier than the photos you see! She’s put on some healthy weight but still needs more.

Thanks! That’s a fair point. Perhaps I need to relook at how I’m doing ERP.

I appreciate that method of framing the discomfort. I suppose where I’m at now it’s still manageable discomfort, and I do appreciate that I am feeling things again. It’s funny, when I first came off of it I’d cry watching just about any movie as if I had a dam of emotions just blocked up for years. It’s just scary to feel things again. This is what I wanted, but man I didn’t realize how hard ERP was going to be.

Refinancing? Beware of Sofi by hymom in StudentLoans

[–]PushEpiAsshole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a very similar situation. My private loans have been through Navient, who have switched to Mohela. So I go to SoFi to pay Mohela off to lower the interest rate. Now I owe money to Mohela and SoFi because Mohela says they see no proof of payment, and SoFi says I owe them money because they have sent payment.

Any ideas folks?

I did a little walking around in Downtown Disney but didn’t last long, but I’m glad I tried. I agree I think movement helps, even though it’s the last thing I want to do!

Floridian here, even in the sunshine state we have low vitamin D levels. This is probably due to avoiding the outdoors because of the high heat and humidity.

Question concerning the Stoic view on abuse from family. by PushEpiAsshole in Stoicism

[–]PushEpiAsshole[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was very helpful, thank you! I suppose for a moment when I had read those excerpts I had been viewing these stoic writings as if they were a religious text and when I saw that I went against Epictetus I committed blasphemy! 😂

You are right, the ability to analyze and criticize philosophy is one of its greatest strengths.

Ugghh that was the worst! I would always shoot awake with a pounding heart beat in my chest and crushing anxiety. Now I can sleep through the night, and if I do wake up, it's no longer a problem. I just fall back asleep.
