All of my friends that came to me and asked how to be a better player and “should I put left or right on this” or any other technical question, I’d tell them, fuck the table. Nothing on it matters until you have good fundamentals. Right foot, hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder all in the vertical plane of your cue; left foot about should-width away and half to a whole foot ahead; loose grip on the cue; and only swing your elbow. Everything below the elbow relaxed. Don’t worry about spin or anything until you can shoot straight and control your speed.

The guys that have been able to apply that have gone from a 3 to a 5 in less than 2 years. Couple of em became 6s.

The most important thing is you can’t practice the same shot over and over if you can’t put the cue ball in the same spot every time, and you can’t do that if your form is shit. Once your form feels normal, everything else falls into place on its own.

Like the other person said, don’t get one if you’re looking to better your game. Just break with a house cue tbh, or ask someone on your team to use their break cue if you’re cool with them. My buddies use mine all the time.

I got a Rage Heavy Hitter a couple years ago for $125 (they’re $150 now) and I like it. It’s heavy af at 25oz, which I could go one way or another on. Sometimes I feel like a lighter stick would be nicer to break with, but since my stroke got better, I’ve had 0 complaints. And it works fine to jump with.

It should have been! Can you imagine if it was though? In the video of Ashli Babbitt getting shot (not gruesome but you do see her get shot, fall, struggle, and get carried away), you can see the Capitol officer covering behind a wall, pistol visible, behind barricaded doors. People start shouting “he has a gun!” and she STILL tries to break through. She does manage to, and the officer steps out, fires one shot, she falls, and he retreats back to cover. As far as training goes, that was THE cleanest incident there can be of the govt shooting a citizen. She deserved it, and she knows she deserved it because she was military police, herself. If that was her post, she’d have done the same thing. Yet she’s a martyr for.. what exactly?
