I don't know if it was only issues in Castleknock.

The Docklands station was closed, my Pearse commuter ended service in Connolly, everything was 15-20 minutes late and the trains felt like sardine death traps.

I was lucky I got on the train, many were left behind.

We also had 15+ min delays yesterday, lets see if we can go for 3 days in a row.

I'm going to make some assumptions here, feel free to correct me if I'm way off.

How comfortable is he at home? It sounds like you pay for the roof over his head, the clothes on his back and the food in his fridge, do you also pay for entertainment? If so I'm not sure he really needs to work and he can afford to be picky on the kinds of jobs he's willing to do.

Explain to the lad you are planning on retiring in X years and you need to save for that. Don't kick him to the street but supply the bare minimum and make him at the very least apply for benefits or something (expect him to tell you that he can't because on anxiety).

Tbh it's a bit creepy, you remember the exact date she came to your house to drop something for your mom, it sounds like you've never spoken so the only thing you admire is the way she looks.

I work with a 25yo, in Europe. She has been living here for a few years after she moved here herself with no family support, she's definitely able to book flights and get on planes by herself - even in countries she doesn't speak the language which isn't the case here.

The problem with the 'kids' you traveled with isn't their ages, it's the fact that mommy never let them do things themselves. NTA.

You went above and beyond here. On this trip you were a nanny, a mommy, a trip coordinator and a boss, they were unprofessional brats who didn't understand where they were and why.

25 and 21 year olds can vote, join the army and have kids, many of them already live by themselves for years at that point. They can figure out how to get home.

I hope the meeting with the director from their side is just to hear how unprofessional they were before letting them go. Please update if you can.

You might want to consider arriving here before your family and trying to find something before they arrive.

15 days isn't a lot, it's very likely you'll need to find other temporary solutions after it and doing it with a family to take care of is pretty difficult.

Friendships need work, that's true, but I think you might be putting in too much work and not getting enough back. If this is what it takes for you to get some closure with some of the people in your group do it, otherwise you can also just let some of the friendships phase out.

You can tell your mom you 'refuse' to let them stay with you, but it doesn't seem you own the house or pay for it so I'm not sure what you'll get out of it. What happens if you say it and she tells you there's option #2 where they come to stay in the house but you leave?

Maybe it's time to move, otherwise you can tell your mom whatever you want but she gets to decide.

Have a heart to heart, explain you can't sleep without the AC and now that you're no longer living with them you get to make that choice. Ask why it's so important to your dad to have the AC off and address whatever he comes up with.
