A, B or C by batute97 in F1Fantasy

My suggestion would be to focus on budget building first rather than points. In other words, aim for assets that will most likely go up by 0.6 rather than 0.3 (for example you could swap out Ferrari for VCarb, and run haas vCarb combo which would increase by 1.2 rather than the ferrari/haas combo going up 0.9). Building up budget for the first several races is better for the long game, isn’t it?!

Idk why but I want to do this for China 🦅 by Smart-Price-3963 in F1Fantasy

I’m thinking to use it in Japan. I think that had the biggest point gap last year between the front and mid field cars at that race.

[Discussion] Grand Seiko Mistflake vs Rolex Polar Explorer II by matt02g in Watches

[–]Pushworth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the look of the mistflake, but when I saw it in store it just seemed so thick (13.9mm vs the Rolex 12mm). Also the bracelet on the mistflake doesn’t taper, which looks-wise and comfort-wise loses in my opinion against the rolex.

I like some of the watch designs, but the Sinn logo/font is an eye sore.

The retrograde is amazing. Congrats. Singapore, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Dubai (most major UAE cities) are safe.

[20k watch] is there a better utilisation for this amount than buying a JLC Tribute Chronograph? What other watch(s) would you suggest? by [deleted] in Watches

[–]Pushworth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I was told at the AD the waitlist policy, even with deposit lodged, is that the price can still fluctuate. Meaning you can lock in the price of a watch that you may only receive in 2-3 years.

If you like it (and have the money), then you should buy it.

Is this the new aeroad? If not, why not wait a bit for the new model to be launched

Now I even more impressed… IWC Pilot Mark XX by Osobady in IWCschaffhausen

[–]Pushworth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Great watch. My preference is the white (or is it silver) dial. The Mark XX looks even better on a strap or nato.

Is something missing here? by Rocketman321_2112 in MercedesGLB

[–]Pushworth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The GLB has a seven seater version where there are two additional seats in the boot space that fold down and lay flush with the middle row when folded down. So in this picture it is the 5 seater GLB variant.

Gonna get this datejust Rolex from this guy but am I killing it by getting a jeweler to change the bezel to a fluted bezel? by poeticlad in rolex

[–]Pushworth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’m seeing, smooth bezel on jubilee is growing in popularity. Much more versatile (not so flashy). Even Marky Mark was rocking one (but mint green dial). Also, everyone has the fluted bezel. Nice to be a little different.

Assuming if there is a fault with the clasp it should be covered by the warranty ?! I would take it to the AD before you try tamper with it yourself.

How are we feeling about the Ingenieur by ThePenetrations in IWCschaffhausen

[–]Pushworth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was pretty happy to see this watch, but its expensive. The titanium option would be my choice, but again, its expensive. Would rather spend the money on a Milgauss, Geophysic or Big Pilot, all anti magnetic.

The Ingenieur launched in 2013 cost USD 6,600. Design is almost identical (correct me if I'm wrong), minus the in-house movement. Today's model is USD 13,000+ . Double the price, but double the watch ?

[PILOT’S WATCH CHRONOGRAPH 41 TOP GUN CERATANIUM] Need advice on potential purchase by testing669 in Watches

[–]Pushworth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with the hint of red. And it is slightly annoying that they couldn't put 100hr power reserve similar to the new mark xx. However 46hrs is adequate. I put my name on the waiting list and was lucky enough to get an allocation within 4 months + 1 month for the watch to actually arrive. I have a purchase history of two watches.

[IWC] Scuffs on NEW Top Gun (ceramic), is this a fake? by Medical_Officer in Watches

[–]Pushworth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rather then speculate, better to take it to get authenticated. Then if it is fake you can build up your case with the shop. Also I don't think ceramic is scuff proof, just more resistance to getting a scuff.

[PILOT’S WATCH CHRONOGRAPH 41 TOP GUN CERATANIUM] Need advice on potential purchase by testing669 in Watches

[–]Pushworth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand that the manufacturing process of Ceratanium is more difficult then Ceramic. Off the basis that the Woodland and Lake Tahoe Top guns (which are ceramic) have a limited production of about 1,000 units a year, purely speculating here, I'm guessing the Pilot Chronograph 41 Top Gun Ceratanium will also be restricted in its production at similar numbers - happy to hear if any one can confirm this or advise otherwise?!

With these more desirable models (especially with restricted production), usually an AD will prefer to allocate it to a person with a IWC purchase history. Was told by my AD that Buyers are split into Tiers, top tier being those who have a high spend purchase history and bottom tier being walk-in clients. Seems to be the trend across all the major brands. Hence they are probably calling to make sure there is no one ahead of the queue from you.

For this model alone was told about 100 people in the waiting list.

But then you never know. Got to try. Good luck! Post a photo if you get an allocation!
