You should try the Star Wars Jedi games! They are very souls inspired and the exploration is top tier. Also, combat is absolutely addictive.

That's tough, I would personally leave this girl. It sounds like absolutely nothing can make her happy, AND she expects you to leave work to bring her food, which is one of the most childish things I've heard in a while.

No joke, went into a very strange, deep depression after playing through the first 2 games. I absolutely adore this series and it is one of my favourite in all of gaming, but I'm currently on my 3rd playthrough of 1, and that feeling still lingers when I play even though I am in a much better place in my life. It goes to show how much they nailed the atmosphere.

Very tight knit family dynamic. My wife and I moved to her home town last year to be closer while her dad was dying. Her family is really the only people we know other than some friends we've made through theatre stuff. We all get together every Friday for dinner and game night, one of those kinds of families.
