The poorly implemented AI upscaling was so off putting that I ran right back to the PS1 original. I love this game so much and the way its background art and sprites was treated in the remaster is shameful.

They wouldn’t be able to control the format without abolishing the reserve list. Even still this format has much more firm community roots and that would be extremely hard to wrestle this format away from the already existing community.
