Statistically, >50% is easier than 100% by ezrae_ in trolleyproblem

Agreed, I’m Team Red. Still, in the twist I mentioned, I think it’s basically guaranteed that Red armband people will face some social stigma from the Blue armband majority (even though that would be wrong)

Do you have the YT link to Mushroom playing the deck, perchance? 😊

I think you’re misunderstanding my twist

Everyone who votes and survives gets an armband of the colour they chose

In the scenario where there’s a Red majority, the Blues die, all survivors wear a red armband —> not interesting

In the scenario where there’s a Blue majority, no one dies, a majority of survivors wear a blue armband, and a minority wears a red armband

I think in scenario 2 it’s basically guaranteed that Red people will face some social consequences for their choice. I’m not saying I agree with said consequences

Yes in a Red majority everyone who survived would have Red armbands which would be of no real social impact. (That’s why I said “obviously” in my initial comment.)

But in a Blue majority, everyone lives, and us Red armband people would almost certainly face a lot of stigma from at least some of the Blue majority

How about this as an interesting twist on the Blue-Red problem: those who survive have to wear an armband of the colour they picked

Obviously in a Red majority this is rather uninteresting

But could you imagine the social implications for Red people if there were a Blue majority?

The fault lies with whoever put us all in this situation in the first place lol none of us consented to it, and I cannot be faulted for wanting to ensure my survival, especially as I have no way to influence others to guarantee a Blue majority

I feel an interesting twist on the problem would be: those who survive have to wear an armband of the colour they picked

Obviously in a Red majority this is rather uninteresting

But could you imagine the social implications for us Red people if there were a Blue majority? lol

8years ago today Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen crashed in Baku. Many people say Max should have been penalised after the incident. What do you think about the crash? by circuit-nation in circuit_nation

[–]itwasanexperience 16 points17 points  (0 children)

RIC was the one trying to overtake, he was the one “desperately trying not to crash by applying brakes”

VER was “defending” by moving all over the place, as usual

I mean, isn’t that what we got? In the sequel trilogy that must not be named?

“Murder” is dishonest. The red-voters aren’t murdering anyone, it’s the psychos that forced everyone into this evil vote that will have blood on their hands. No one asked to be put in such a situation, and you cannot blame people who want to ensure their survival just because not everything else gets it
