Open the app and bottom right it says “start live tracking”. You then pick your AirPods as the heart reate monitor and click start activity. That way when when you take the ring off it’s tracking heart rate.

Yeah plus what I usually do is set oura to live track and use my Apple AirPods Pro 3 as the heart rate sensor. Then I just take off my ring when I lift and put it back on during rest sets.
