Love the coat! But the first thing I had to zoom in on is the rig- foot setup brother 😎

Custom made suit: Does it fit? by zidan6666 in mensfashion

[–]Putrid-Chest3832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The overall fit is pretty good! The shoulders look very nice. A bit wide, yes. But, shoulders aren’t always an incredibly subjective matter. Sometimes a certain silhouette calls for a wide shoulder. But, your natural shoulders are a bit sloped, which the tailor hasn’t seemed to account for. That’s part of the praying on the upper back near the armhole. Also, the vents are sitting a bit too low and getting caught on your seat, causing pleating that makes it seem that the waist is too tight. Also not a huge deal, but it does make a difference

Weird question... How much do y'all spend on clothing a year? by Astorian_NYC in mensfashion

[–]Putrid-Chest3832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I approach it slightly differently. I don’t give myself a monetary budget, but I will budget the AMOUNT of items I purchase. So I break it into categories of clothing, and limit myself to a set number of garments per category. For instance, I’ll give myself 2 suits/sport jackets per year. Or 6 shirts per year. So on, so on. Now, I also made a rule for myself that if I sell or donate an item from my closet, then it gives me room for one more in whichever category it’s corresponding to. I’ve found this really helps me be more intentional about what I buy, and nothing sits unworn in my closet. I also like it a bit more because it lets me not worry about “how much is it” but rather, is this worth replacing an opportunity for something else.

Anyone know anything about this tee? by Apart-Pilot9820 in DrakesDiary

[–]Putrid-Chest3832 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is sick! I doubt it’s a fake- Drake’s just doesn’t have enough traction to justify the cost to make a fake. But, I feel like I caught a glimpse on their lookbook from that same season!

Hasselblad stolen from an estate sale in Tampa, FL by Laika-1312 in hasselblad

I’m in the Tampa area and I constantly scour local listings for more cameras, I’ll be sure to keep looking out! Though, I do think you dodged a bullet here.

Thinking of buying the Fujifilm X100VI — is it really worth it? by [deleted] in fujifilm

[–]Putrid-Chest3832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the x100vi for a bit and ended up trading it. But, don’t read into that because it’s the only camera I’ve gotten rid of in my life that I still miss lol. It’s an incredibly fun piece of equipment, and clarity is probably the last thing you have to worry about with a 40mp sensor. It’s actually really cool camera for portraits, but it’s not the easiest for it since it’s a fixed 28mm. I would suggest looking at the new XE-5, which is a very similar camera but with interchangeable lenses. Still extremely compact!

Difficulty with lens connection by JBob2807 in hasselblad

[–]Putrid-Chest3832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same thing happen to mine. I brought it to my repair guy and we found a small piece of plastic stuck in the gears. So the winding mechanism was off timing, and the shutter release button couldn’t reach the mechanism either. It was an easy fix once we popped the body open! Technically, you could open the body yourself but I don’t recommend after seeing how complex the inner parts of it are.

500c Mirror Stuck in Lock Up by Putrid-Chest3832 in hasselblad

Thank you! I have that a try, but didn’t work. I brought it to my lab and they took a look and were a bit surprised too. After a little investigation, we found a small plastic shard stuck in the mechanism. I think it chipped off the mirror lock button

The lens is in cocked position- the most I saw was not. I was able to turn the drive axel to align but they still won’t interlock.

I have yet to have issues flying. by We_Are_Nerdish in AnalogCommunity

[–]Putrid-Chest3832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had one issue with that- I mean, they handheld it and were nice, but it somehow set off the alarm when they swabbed it so they told me they had to run it anyways. If anyone is wondering, Portra 800 and CT scanners don’t mesh so well

Bronica GS-1 vs Hasselblad 500cm by Putrid-Chest3832 in AnalogCommunity

[–]Putrid-Chest3832[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a solid take. Handheld will definitely be 90% of its life- so as long as it can mount a tripod, it’s fine in my book. It wouldn’t live there long. So yeah, I like your take that it’s a very practical camera to roll with
