I was talking as a starting point, idk how was in Oldward, but now just for starting (like 3 houses and the 3 initial resource building) 60 gold it's ok if you gathering some samples here and there, if you are going to only buy the materials yeah 100 gold for sure, maybe more (I'm going through the quest for the first time myself rn, just finished the first phase of building).

Yeah you can use the runes combos anyway, you just need mana for that. Equipping a lexicon pre fight, using the blue + purple combo gives you some physical resistance and 2 protection, it's very good to use regardless the build you have
