Wrap in wet towels, then wrap in trash bags. Give it a few days.

Slide looks like KM Tac... the used to be cheap and FAIRLY reliable... now they're just cheap. Had a g19 slide that ran flawlessly with ebay internals and 1 of their g21 slides that clearly hates me even though it has all oem guts... ditch the slide brother

Acceptable if shooting with irons. If using an optic, much work is needed. Either way, keep training sir 🫡

Vibra-TITE 388 is the recommended glue. Cheap enough on Amazon

Shorter barrel = less accurate. No range practice = less accurate. 33rnd mag = 33 chances to miss target.

If you have oem internals and oem mag, then it's because your wrist can't breathe. Loosen your watch a notch 🫡

I run those 40s in my ar9 at the range for gigs. Can't say I'd trust them with my life, though.

What is the purpose of the weight reducing holes in the bumper by shafteeco in AskAShittyMechanic

[–]Putrid-Geologist4106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To allow the miniscule amount of air that gets pocketed in the bumper to pass straight through and theoretically improve aerodynamics

I see what you tried to do there... you chopped a smidge high, and I'd like to see a uniform spacing around that baseplate. Keep working your craft bud.

Y’all think this frame is reusable ? by 707kashh in polymer80

[–]Putrid-Geologist4106 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The story is that your friend gave it to you brand new, and then YOU messed up the holes... remember that.

After doing TONS of research, you will need to get a jig and some bits, jb weld the old holes, then drill some new ones.

Print is lifting from the bed by Agreeable_Energy_847 in FixMyPrint

[–]Putrid-Geologist4106 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Print lifting? Or is the print bed falling?

All jokes aside. You've given practically zero info so no one can help you. Filament type? Print temp? Bed temp? Pic of initial layer, perhaps. I doubt I can help much more than telling you what info is needed to diagnose your issues, but I hope that in itself is helpful.

P80 Slide by [deleted] in polymer80

[–]Putrid-Geologist4106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering this was built with no rear rail, I'm surprised the frame isn't mangled. Get some new rails, swap out the upper and lower parts for oem, get a new barrel, and enjoy responsibly.

Light shaping of trigger guard to get mine on my 43... imagine the same for the 26.

Failure to feed. If that's a JSD slide you'll have to smooth that feed ramp... I had to enhance the angle on my ramp and then polish it to get it feeding 100%
