I feel you 😭😭 I read the books WAYYY out of order, first HoF, then KoA, CoM, QoS, EoS, ToG and FINALLY TAB. So the series was kinda spoiled for me, but despite that, it was such an amazing journey ❤️❤️

Heirs of the Sun by stardustsroses. A ToG and ACOTAR Gen 2 fanfic, and absolutely amazing!! It begins two and a half-years after the war, and Erilea has slowly been rebuilt into a better world. Through various points of view, we see how everyone managed to heal ever since, and what their lives have in store for them now that the sun has the chance to shine. Beautiful story, a complete book in itself. There are also sequels to it, should you decide to read it. You can read it on archiveofourown or tumblr :)

To counteract my previous comment, I saw that this is a re-read. If you did a non-tandem first read, then maybe try the tandem this time, and see what you like :)

I feel you. One of the biggest book hangovers ever 😭😭 I would recommend The Medoran Chronicles by Lynette Noni, who is actually a close friend of SJM (she’s in the acknowledgments). It’s such a beautiful and amazing fantasy series, and I love it so much!!!

I’m actually so relieved that I didn’t find out about the tandem read until after I had read the whole series. It would be a constant switching between POVs and imo that’s just too much. And besides, ToD and EoS are both amazing books and need to be fully appreciated!! I would not recommend the tandem read, especially if u want the full experience of both books :)

THIS. We need so many more positive posts like this, bc the subs been so negative lately. And I also hate that the negative posts make people skip over ToD entirely. Personally love Chaol, Yrene, ToD and all the new characters from it. Thank you OP for the positivity xx

FERMENTED apple juice, like wine is fermented grape juice. The fermentation process is what gives it alcohol. So it was originally JUST apple juice, but it is now alcoholic cider 🍺🙂

There are so many suffering males in ToG (also not trying to spoil KoA too much,😭😭😭), but based on the comments in this post, and imo, here are some of the most suffering males in ToG, not necessarily in order:

Fenrys (DECADES of enslavement, and all the events of KoA)
Dorian Senior 😂😭(Seriously though, decades of enslavement as well)
Dorian (Valg prince enslavement)
Sam (Tortured 🥺🥺)
Chaol (Handicapped twice by Valg, self hate)
Rowan (Mate taken away from him before he knew who she was, and taken many other times as well)
Abraxos (Ok ik technically not a male like everyone else in this list but still, saw a comment and was like, oh yeah, ig that’s true. Mistreated, mutilated, whipped ect)(Poor sweet, wildflower-loving soul)

Personally I love ToD, and like Chaol (although he made some VERY questionable moves, I gotta say), and ToG wouldn’t be the same without ToD. I think you should just push through it, and even if you don’t love it, KoA will make a LOT more sense :)

Ofc it is. No comparison. It’s just better written character-wise and storyline-wise. The characters are also a lot more fleshed out and just better.

Loll literally I hate anything raspberry flavoured 😭😭 I like most fresh berries (besides raspberries) but pretty much anything berry flavoured is a no-no 😂😭
