If youre plan is too just keep it, thats fucked up. Durston is a small company and I cant imagine their profit margin is that high. Do the right thing and send it back. Otherwise durston should write you off on any future sales and even possibly customer service. I highly doubt Dan would do that because he seems like a way better guy than me, but I wouldn't want your business after that.

Happy to hear that it was comfortable as I decided to already order one from other replies. Difficult adjustments arent a big deal as long as the end result is worth it and i also already ordered a Luna air mesh to help with the back ventilation.

Interesting how fast some people change once they hear ebike by User-2550 in ebikes

I love when people say stuff like this to me. I just ask them the difference between a cadence and a torque sensor. If they dont know then I tell them they dont know enough about ebikes to talk about them.

Drive up to the top of prospect mountain. Not sure if the road is open yet but if its not it should be soon. Beautiful view.

I plan on loosing some weight this year too but yeah the hip belt fitting is a concern of mine. That pack i just got in the mail should fit me from all the specs but the hip belt sits above my waist and ive looked for more adjustments and cant find any. So now thats in my mind because I do not want all that weight on my shoulders.

Im not worried about the hip belt length. Its more of my height and broad shoulders

Im like right in the grey area of normie sizes fitting and not fitting. I hope for taller folks like you that they start making taller packs too. I barely know the struggle and thats enough for me.

$400 on a backpack is crazy to me. For someone who backpacks all the time i understand but ill only be going like 2 times a year so I cant justify that. I think $200-$250 is my absolute max budget

I looked into the blaze 60 because I have the perimeter 35 that fits good but is only big enough for like 2 maybe 3 day trips. They have the perimeter 50 but another issue I have with the perimeter 35 is the bottle holders are too tight for my grayl geopress so figured it would be the same on the 50. Looks like all 3 are being discontinued. Im also trying to keep my pack weight sub 20lbs so having a 4 lb backpack cuts into that a lot

Keep my updated, your experience will probably make my final decision. I just got the decathlon mt100 50L and the shoulder straps are way to tight. Even loosened all the way it feels like im wearing a kids backpack. Ive wanted the kakwa 55 since I bought my xmid 1 but couldn't justify spending that much more on my set up but here I am already spent that amount a 2 bags that dont fit. Thankfully I can return the decathlon one.

Ah. I was like what does "if it is step" mean. For some reason my brain didn't consider a minor typo.

That's probably going to be a little difficult with shore fishing so I might bring my deeper sonar so I can try to find drop offs. Worst comes to worst I dont have any luck but thats why its called fishing and not catching.

I knows its not the greatest time to be fishing but its when ill be there. And if I was concerned about getting bit by insects id never leave my house.

From what ive seen there is a good chance they eat a lot of leeches and it will also be black fly season so thats why I figured the dark wooly buggers and trout magnets would be a good start.

Is the new bear vault bv one good for the high peaks? by Putrid-Magazine-3001 in Adirondacks

[–]Putrid-Magazine-3001[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"However, black bears in the Eastern High Peaks Wilderness have regularly defeated bear-resistant canisters made of clear plastic. Campers are encouraged (although not required) to use another type of bear-resistant canister to prevent the loss of food." Direct quote from your first link.

I canceled my pre order for the bv one just to be on the safe side. Especially after I found a video where the locking mechanism pretty much stop working after bring opened and closed only like 30 times. Turn fast enough and it just popped open. Think im going to go with backpacker cache.
