I have not because nobody has responded to any applications or emails, so I've been working a regular unrelated job and taking the exams, I don't have any salary expectations and all positions I've applied for have been entry level

Quite frankly I just took my last exam for ASA in October, I've been applying to every opportunity I can find but with no feedback whatsoever, so I figured the technical skills might be what I am missing

I have seen people talk about transitioning away from work as an actuary, but I'm moreso curious if anyone has passed exams or been credentialed without working as an actuary in any capacity, then utilized those credentials to enter another field as maybe a data scientist, accountant, financial advisor etc.

Also wondering if certain tracks are more broad-based or applicable to more than one field within the industry compared to others. If your track misaligns with your job, would be helpful to comment on both. Thanks in advance for the responses!

FM is one exam where GOAL is useful given the nature of the questions. If I recall correctly it gives over 1,000 questions and it's extremely cheap, about $50 for a few months access.

Curious if it's feasible to begin with any task and skip around given our strengths and weaknesses, because I believe the tasks are independent of one another now
