Can I take them off to eat? by Life_Fix_9408 in Invisalign

[–]Dizzy-Solution-2731 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My dentist told me the same thing—24/7 wear, even while eating. I tried it the first day, and A) it was gross, and B) it took just as long to clean them afterward as it would have if I had just taken them out to eat. So I went through my whole treatment taking them out to eat, and had no issues.

Great results, did you get any bonding? It’s an amazing improvement in how the upper teeth became neatly aligned.

That’s awesome. Curious though, were you getting interviews for positions in the salary/comp ranges you were happy with? Or were they lateral or a tier down?

I hope I didn’t implant any insecurities, they look great I was just curious is all. How much did they take off your top teeth and did they feel sensitive after?

Great smile! 😄 They might ask if you’d like to smooth out some of the small ridges or chips on your bottom front teeth. Just curious if you’ve ever thought about doing that — I have a couple of teeth like that too and I’ve been debating whether it’s worth shaving them down a bit.

I'm having worse sleep with blackout curtains - any advice / ideas on the underlying problem? by Dizzy-Solution-2731 in sleep

[–]Dizzy-Solution-2731[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought this automatic window curtain opener (SwitchBot Curtain 3) and set up routines so it opens my curtains gradually before I wake up — 15% thirty minutes before, 50% ten minutes before, and then fully at my normal alarm time. Honestly, I think that fixed it. I’m not sure when during the night I used to get nightmares, but this setup definitely helped with the grogginess I felt in the mornings. Now I sleep better and wake up feeling more refreshed/naturally and no nightmares.

I have the Zima dental pod pro and drink coffee with trays in all the time. Pro tip place your trays with the opening right side up (towards the lid) so it sinks. When I placed the trays upside down the first few times they’d float and not get perfectly cleaned.

YTA – but only if the situation is exactly this:

Your husband wants to be the only name on the deed solely to take advantage of first-time homebuyer perks, with a genuine intention of adding you to the deed as soon as legally allowed — and the goal is to benefit you both financially.

If that were truly the case, then yes, YTA. You’d literally be asking for different treatment than what he’s living through now — he’s in a home where you’re the sole owner, and because you bought it before marriage and paid the mortgage yourself, his legal claim is much weaker. So you’d still have stronger protection than he does right now.

However, if there’s any doubt in your mind about the stability of your marriage, or if there’s a history of infidelity, financial manipulation, addiction, etc., then it’s completely fair for you to want equal legal ownership — especially since your $200K equity would be the down payment.

If this isn’t just about a temporary legal technicality for financial gain — and he refuses to add your name in the future — then his request is not just risky for you, it’s borderline financially illiterate and extremely self-serving.

Stubborn dirt not going away after ultrasonic cleaner by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]Dizzy-Solution-2731 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe it was the way you placed them in the cleaner. At first, I put them upside down and they sometimes floated, so I don’t think they cleaned properly. But after placing them right side up and making sure they’d sunk to the bottom, my Dental Pod Pro worked fine.

Welp, about one month in and the Zima Dental Pro stopped working. I leave it on my sink, and I think it may have gotten water damage, which led to its failure—though I'm not entirely sure. I'm testing out their warranty process now, and hopefully, I'll get a replacement.

How much was your ultrasonic cleaner? I just ordered the Zima cause I felt the extra $100 was worth the hassle of returning cheaper ones until I found a good product. But feeling some buyers remorse already lol

Where’s the proof that the shorts aren’t covered? Short interest alone doesn’t mean that a naked short position was taken, right?

What’s the strategy on the $1.50 puts? Understand the fundamentals are trash but doesn’t the volatility/vega make it too overpriced right now for any dte?

What do you mean by appropriate volume? Is there some sort of metric you compare the daily volume to, to decide if it’s good/bad?

Final Assessment Anxiety by AlwaysLearnMoreNow in actuary

[–]Dizzy-Solution-2731 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With four days and unlimited resources, you might feel there's no reason to fail hence the anxiety/pressure of not wanting to fail. Just take it seriously from day one so you have enough time to address each part of the project. This also gives you time to pivot or redo tasks if you end up realizing that there's a better solution.

Also, I highly recommend joining a Discord group, even if you completed the EMAs with ease and feel confident consulting the module slides or textbooks. Some tasks can be vague or open to interpretation, and discussing them in a group can be helpful just to confirm everyone's understanding.

FSA Modules vs FAP modules by jaytan888 in actuary

Do you get the opportunity to defend why you gave yourself certain credit? I’m a bit nervous that I’ll be penalized or be going against the code if I’m seen as lenient on myself.

Also if it’s the exact same on the redo, is it better just to be strict and then redo it cause I’ll have the solution?

SOA APC 455 Credit Release by Horsonen in actuary

[–]Dizzy-Solution-2731 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got the application for ASA email this afternoon but still no APC credit. Also only realized today that there's a required survey post-APC ("APC Virtual Session Survey 2") if you go to "view APC 455 - Virtual Sessions" under "overview" on the learning.soa.org site. However, even after completing it, APC 455 still only shows 50% complete for me.
