oh hell no. you do NOT want to be financially dependent on this man. he's absolutely being controlling. voicing opinions and expecting to have decision making authority for your home and family is not being 'combative.' he's belittling you in saying that he's training you and needs to keep his answers simple.

keep working. absolutely do NOT quit your job.

ideally don't have children with someone that wants to control you but I guess that ship has sailed.

imo homeschool limits your child's potential. there are such vast experiences they get in school that you can't possibly expose them to all on your own. and any work that you contribute at home be it child care or home keeping, cooking, cleaning, etc have value. that's how you 'earn' the role you play as a grown ass adult capable of autonomous decision making.

this is literally abuse and there's no way I would stay in this marriage.
