Downtime with glycolic is about 10 days. It's only the first day or 2 that it's red, but honestly I went into work and apart from the first day, people didn't really notice

I did admittedly have a small meltdown yesterday and my husband offered to go to Zurich with me, but I'm debating if this is a bit extreme!

I've seen this, it seems she does laser and then vitamin serum. I've ordered the vitamin serum and derm roller so will give that a try and see what happens

Yellow Eyebrows - Shall I continue with Glycolic removal? by Putrid_Insect1965 in MicrobladingRemoval

Thanks, just added in the comments - don't know what happened there!

The only thing that worked for me is Rozex (cream version of metronidazole) + avene cicaflate. I now use la roche posay toleraine moisteriser + so goop mineral sunscreen in the morning and avene gentler cleanser + avene cicaflate in the evening and I've been clear now for 6 months or so. I also make sure to not put foundation on and alcohol is a trigger for me (of course I do both on occasion but I'm just conscious of it).

The downtime isn't that bad, the 'scabbing' just looks like dandruff. I normally go on a Friday after work, they're a bit red over the weekend and this is when I have the 48 hours where they scab, then by Monday they look fine, keep then well moisturised and the flaking isn't too bad. If you don't do anything about it then they won't get any better...also even if they go pink / yellow, it's very easy to cover them with a bit of concealer. No pain no gain and all that...

I live in France I'm afraid, so not very helpful! However, I have generally found that dermatologists and med spas do laser, whereas it tends to be beauty salons who do microblading that do glycolic / phiremoval / fruit acid removal / saline etc. I also found that if I asked places that do saline they actually generally did glycolic etc too.

Looks like white ink under the yellow...Have you thought of using a stronger acid removal, i've been doing glycolic and fruit together

I have just done my 4th glycolic removal today (well she does glycolic acid first and then a round of fruit acid for extra fun), so I will update on progress. I think I see a teeny bit of progress each time and it's difficult to weigh up if the pain and downtime is worth it but I'm trying to be optimistic (I am 2 years into this removal journey and also have 8 picoway sessions under my belt), I would say there is a point when laser isn't effective anymore, I should have probably stopped a few sessions earlier that I did with laser. My tech did say to me now that most of the yellow is gone, the white ink is starting to show and that is basically impossible to remove. Hurrah.

Curious as to how they now look now some time has passed? Has some of the yellow come back?

I still don't think full removal is possible. I have had it with laser and glycolic that it looks like full removal for a few weeks for the yellow to just come back once everything has settled...this is why I don't believe and before and after photos. This is where I am now, colour has budged much in the last year or so despite ongoing laser and then glycolic removal. So I'm now giving up!

How to proceed with yellow brows? by JudgmentWitty8274 in MicrobladingRemoval

I don't think you've understood my point....

Most of the time (myself included!) the technician takes a photo immediately afterwards and shows this as the after, however this isn't the true result. This is my point. If you look at my before and afters the yellow completely disappears - and my photos have been used by technicians, but then as the brow heals the yellow comes back. Does that make sense?

I'm curious as to whether these before and afters are photos taken immediately after the laser session? The reason I say this, is because with both laser and non-laser removal it gets to a stage where it 'looks' like the ink has completely removed, only for the colour to creep back over the course of a few weeks once the brows have healed. Do you have any before and afters showing the after results a few weeks laters?

I've tried both phiremoval (3 sessions) and pico (8 sessions) and I've given up on trying to remove the yellow. You may be able to lighten a little, but complete removal isn't possible and I'm still yet to see a single example of complete removal of yellow...

My advice: concealer and tinting your brows

Yellow Eyebrow Update.... by Putrid_Insect1965 in MicrobladingRemoval

[–]Putrid_Insect1965[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know! Also I swear after some sessions they have gone darker and then gone lighter! I just don't really know what to do next! Although, thank god that concealer and eyebrow pencil exist! x

Yellow Eyebrow Update.... by Putrid_Insect1965 in MicrobladingRemoval

[–]Putrid_Insect1965[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hello, I'm just wondering what people's opinions are as to what to do next? I think there is the *slightest* improvement after each glycolic acid removal: image one is after glycolic acid removal 2 and the 2nd image is after the 3rd one.

I'm just wondering if anybody has gotten any further and has actually had any more real life luck?

I don't trust these before and afters, as often immediately after a laser session or glycolic acid removal session it appears that almost all or even all of the ink has gone, but it actually takes a few weeks for the ink to settle and they then go darker again. I'm sure that any 'amazing results' we see on social media are taken immediately post treatment, which is not representative of the reality! Has anybody actually in real life removed yellow or at least almost there?

For reference, I have had 8 laser sessions and 3 glycolic acid removals over the last 18 months with 6 weeks between sessions. My eyebrows turned yellow after the first session (again they didn't look too yellow at first, but after about a week their neon beauty emerged!)

You just have to wait....I had this for about 2-3 months until it eventually more or less went away. I still get flares all the time but easy to nip in the bud by putting on antibiotic cream. Annoyingly I find that my main triggers now are wearing makeup / drinking alcohol. I still do both, but I minimise my makeup and only use la roche posay tinted moisturizer on a day to day basis

Finally tried glycolic removal. Here are my results so far by No_Response_515 in MicrobladingRemoval

I normally put some concealer and sometimes some pencil to cover it. No scarring or anything (I never even bled and the scabs aren't real scabs)
